I expect to see a team like this at the start

                                 Gulasci

      McLaughlin    Sama  Skrtel  Enrique

                       Aquiliani Shelvey

                               Cole

      Ibe                 Morgan         Sterling

But it could be completely different who knows in pre season :)

Jones ; Wisdom, Sama, Carragher, Jose Enrique ; Spearing, Aquilani, Adam ; Ibe, Eccleston, Pacheco

That's the first half team anyways.

Nice mix of youth and experience there. Be interesting to see what role Adam plays in this system.

Edit: The second half team is: Gulacsi, Flanagan, Skrtel, Wilson, Robinson, Adorjan, Shelvey, Suso, Cole, Sterling, Morgan

with Lucas, Smith, Ward, McLaughlin being the subs.

ha! Ya I'm not Adam's biggest fan myself either.

Just looking at the second team. Looks like it'll be Shelvey sitting, Suso doing the creating and Adjoran getting forward. Bit early to be talking about that yet tho.

Am I the only one thinking Adam might actually prosper under a Rodgers system?
The only issue is his lack of pace because if he can curtail his hollywood passes he could be pretty decent for us.
Maybe I am being too hopeful

He had an extra week. Joins this week as opposed to the 3weeks he was offered.

I am excited to see some of the young guys like Sama, Ibe and Morgan. Especially excited to see Adjoran for some reason. Off out to watch it. Come on Reds!!

So no-one who was involved in the Euros playing tonight (apart from Suso in the U19's)?  Good mix of youth and experience in both teams.

I wonder what role, if any the 4 subs will have in this game? Is Agger the only player not named at all?

Great to see the lads back in action, looking forward to seeing Ibe, Sterling and Suso most if I'm honest and perhaps a little cameo for Lucas!
