Another good goal that, but at the wrong end.

Carragher got beat far too easy there

True. Brendan will not be happy with that but he will be well pissed off with how careless Andy Carroll gave the ball away in the middle of the field.

See Brendan after they scored? I saw 'F*ck's sake". And he didn't look too happy

Don't think Shelvey is suited to the wing to be honest, much better in the middle

If I'm being honest, although Andy's goal and Charlie's setup were both class.....the subs haven't been able to keep and move the ball around like the starters. I don't know that this performance would be an endorsement for them being first teamers.

Adam and Spearing offer nothing in the centre of the pitch. Hard to dominate the ball when we aren't controlling the midfield anymore.

I'm not one for critisising players, but do you think we could sell our number 26 for spare parts, and how much do you think we would get.

Well done. Good showing in the first half, second half a bit shaky at times. Think this showing helped Sterling the most, be surprised to not see him on the bench this year regularly.

His set pieces are worth 10 million alone, that was some piss take.

First half was impressive fell away in the second half as probably expected

Andy Carroll showed he wanted to be at the club. Sterling and Coates gave impressive showings

Was obviously going to be worse in the second half when you see Adam and Spearing replace Gerrard and Lucas.

First half was good though and Carroll was good later on.

      Sterling was my MOTM.

Feel sorry for Adam, he's obviously trying to play his game under scrutiny. He looks nervous and that's a pity because he's not a bad ball player. He is better than what we are seeing right now.

Well done Andy, though poor keeping.

I think it's fair to say Brendan now knows who his first team is.

Yeah. He'll be brilliant in a few years. Right now though he still makes a few too many errors to be a first teamer.

I'll take that every day of the week, thank you very much.

Years gone by, we would have lost that 0-2.

1st half, much better than 2nd, but as others have said, that was on the cards. Not sure if it was the stream, but the new kit does give Anfield an Orange tinge. But as the advert says, "The future is bright, the future is Orange" :o

Absolutely. So often when you bring on a raft of subs the tempo of the game is all but destroyed and we saw that in the second half. But what is concerning for Henderson, Adam and Spearing is that they have a mammoth effort on their hands to displace what will be a central midfield trio of Gerrard, Lucas and Allen.

Worse still for Hendo, Adam and Spearing is that it seems Jonjo Shelvey has risen to a position to be deployed comfortably as that "4th option" in midfield should Gerrard, Allen or Lucas become injured or subbed. (I know Allen hasn't played a second for Liverpool yet but we must all presume that he will complete a midfield trio of Gerrard and Lucas, right?). Henderson, Adam and Spearing will have their work cut out but it's a challenge for them. And there should be nothing better than a challenge and I hope they prosper.
