Just as a bit of an aside, £13m is reckoned to be Dagger's current market value, apparently:

      http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/daniel-agger/transfers/spieler_22832.html

Transfermarket.co.uk are an insult as well then. Do they just pull a figure out of their arse?
Agger is worth over £20 million. To us he is worth over £30 million. To me he is priceless.

IF he has handed in a request it doesn't mean we have to accept a bid on him. Offer him an extended contract and more wages he will suddenly love us again. Thats football now I guess.

However, I still think/hope this is all bullshit. Paper talk on a slow news day.

What sort of message does it send out to the other players in the squad. If he goes it looks very much like we are selling to buy and top Stars like Luis and Riena will think twice about their future here.
Agger seems to have got over his back injury problems and he and Skrtel have been great together its one part of our team that needs to be left alone.

This is one player that we can not afford to lose at any cost. Surely the best playing centre back in the world would be an ideal fit into Rodger's system, not to mention the wrong message it would sent to the squad. If it does go through because NESV are too tight to give the lad an extra 20K a week there should be an uproar and grave concerns for the direction of the club.

I agree, but we still have to take it all with a pinch of salt for now, twitter and the rags aren't exactly reliable.

Agree with the general consensus here. I'd hate hate hate to lose Agger. The boy is class!

If he wants to go, which I don't think he does, the sale has to be overseas and we'd have to buy a top class CB regardless of cost. He's that vital to our defense despite the injury proneness IMO

Lets wait and  see what fsg want for him.Even if a massive offer comes from city, i don't think agger will move to city as he already told about that. And remember his reaction when torres left. That elbow >:D.

      As mentioned before.

If we sell him it shows our intentions, or lack of, as a club.

IF it happens, next season we'll sell Lucas, Suarez and Reina.

      I don't think he'll go though.

What the f*ck is happening ,  have we turned into a selling club once again , we were at this point with the previous owners, with carroll we were saying because he does not fit the new coach's system, what excuse is there for D.agger, injury prone?, another who does not fit BR's plan? short of cash?,because he is left footed ???? this is rediculous IMO, who is the next player linked to exit LFC??

He was Denmarks stand out player in the Euro's and even managed to make Kjaer look good ;)
So it's no real surprise there is speculation, but for now that's all it is.
The same with the Skrtel story, which seems to have died a natural.

Like any of our best players I wouldn't even think about selling him unless he made it clear he wants to go and if that were to be the case it would take a hell of a lot more than £13M to get him.

13mil? are they joking, he's one of the best CB in the league and Europe. he also said that for a Dane it is important to be committed to the club you play for and not to betray it for a rival. He might leave for Barca(would hate it) but not for Man City. But if we don't sign good players this window(2-4), I would not be angry or confused if he decided to leave although I feel he lives LFC

if thiago silva is worth ~30m then agger is definitely worth 30m. So cough up the money or piss off and stop trying to unsettle our best players.

The fact that we"re even looking at his name linked with City or any other team is worrying at the very least. If we were to sell him, in my opinion it would be the rock the owners would perish on.

I'm pretty confident that Agger will stay, for 2 reasons:

      1. This quote: "I think it's unacceptable to play for one of LFC's rivals. For a Dane it is about having respect for the club you play at.''

      2.

Number 2 really shows how he's not kidding about number 1  :P
