I don't think Lucas even wants to leave at the moment. Yeah the European media will be shocked that a South American might dare not want to play in the holy sacred stage of football in Europe, but I think that's the case for now. Interesting, fair play to the lad. A lot of South American "prodigies" have fallen by the way side by being lured to Europe too soon.

Then our problem is our owners dont have the money to compete at a club this size even though they saved approx 450m on the clubs value alone.

How did they think they were gonna compete with the worlds top clubs by not investing significantly?? they didnt think, they just saw a global brand for sale for little or nothing and thought would be great for their portfolio. I have said from day one dont see anything which says they have the money to compete at this level.

Now their baseball team is in the sh*t, massive wages long term deals no results so theyre gonna have to plough money in there too

He's a really good player, not sure I'd be forking out in excess of 30million for him but in saying that I'd much rather we spent 30 on him than 30 on 5 or 6 mediocre players as we so often have done in the past
