You know what though, people worried about no option to buy: At the end of his loan, we could still go to Madrid and try to buy Sahin, making the argument that a year has already dwindled down on his contract which we paid for. Plus you never know if he falls in love with the club he might want to make it permanent.
Not saying this will be the case or anything, but it is within the realm of possibility.
True. Other possible positive outcomes:
1. RM wants Sahin back as a key midfielder. RM agrees to sell Alonso to us.
2. RM wants Sahin back as a key midfielder. RM agrees to sell one of their other benched talented players to us. Sahin has told them all how wonderful it was to play here.
3. Sahin tells his former Dortmund teammates how great Liverpool is to play for. That team was/is LOADED with talent. One comes here.
4. We get in CL or at least make a strong run at it, or win Europa, and players around the world look at us as a giant finally awoken. We attract another great player or two.
5. Sahin tells his Turkey teammates how great Liverpool is. We snap up one of their best young players.
Lots of good endings to this.
