Don't often get the feeling of complete faith in a player like I seem to have in Allen already. Honestly believe he's a brilliant signing and could potentially go on to great things with us. Big fan already.

Same mate, he just oozes class and confidence, that's why I've been so strongly in favor of his signing. After we started to get linked to him I downloaded a few Swansea games and he caught my eye in every one of them, he does a very good job and I'm very happy that we got him

Absolutely. He really patched things up. He is looking like a fabulous player already.

Very impressed with the fella again. He came on and he held up the midfield far better than the likes of Adam could ever hope to do. Looks comfortable on the ball and I don't think I can remember him giving it away at all. May be a minor point to make but I can remember something from tonight's game that stuck out at the time and pleases me when I look back at it. There was a bit of head tennis going on between our defense and the Hearts midfield. Allen was having none of it and jumped up in the air, shaping to head it, and brought it down on his chest and playing a nice pass to another player. Top class stuff!

 

The one thing that I noticed that changed in our play once he came on was that we started playing much wider with him splitting the centre halves even more. He was much more comfortable dropping that 5 yards deeper, turning and passing forwards, and it looked as if the centre halves new this. They could pass to him directly as opposed to Agger bringing it out himself, or giving it to the fullbacks or back to the keeper.

He has impressed me a lot in the game and half he's played so far. Keep it up Joe.

Secondly, does anyone else think he's a bit odd, like a genetically engineered player going about his duties?? He has the same expression all of the time, sort of calm but happy with life at the same time and I swear he's never got a hair out of place.
Maybe he's some kind of ball distributing cyborg?

Good stuff. I was initially wary of the price, but it sounds like he had another good outing vs Hearts coming on as a sub.

He looks like a rock in midfield. Doesn't get muscled off the ball, doesn't get jittery with it, picks out a good pass forward or knows when to play it back and regroup. So far so good, I really like him, think he'll go down as one of our better pickups in the years to come. He's going to look great next to Sahin and Lucas.

I was wrong about the price think 15m would be a bit much. I was wrong. Very wrong.

Worth every penny. His passing, tackling, intelligence, and ability to keep everything ticking over have all been world class. Not many players in the world who can do what he does as consistently as he does it.

Hats off for this gem! If he can keep performing like today, he's gonna be a very important player for Liverpool the coming years
