Was at Bradford vs Burton last night and have very little use of my voice.
We played a weakened team choosing to rest our first choice keeper, last season player of the year Luke Oliver, a CM who was playing championship football last year Nathan Doyle, Kyel Reid left winger who was our 'most consistent player' last term and our two top scorers James Hanson and Nahki Wells.
They had two efforts on goal in the whole game, both of which went in, so we were two nil down at half time despite dominating shots on goal and possession their keeper had a cracking game.
Wells, Hanson and Reid came on at about the hour mark and again we dominated but just couldn't find a breakthrough with about 15 mins to go we started chanting 'out the cup, who gives a f*ck we're super City and we're going up' then with seven mins to go Wells found space behind the back four and smashed it into the far top corner from about 18 yards, still had little hope so the chant continued then in second min if injury time Wells again, overhead kick into the bottom corner, 2-2 forcing extra time, bit if a reserved first half of extra time but in the second half we took game to them and with 5 mins before penalties former Liverpool player stepped up and smashed in from 30 yards, I had a minor heart attack going completely mental!
It was no less than we deserved and apparently it's the first time we've got to this stage since 93 a year after I was born and we're the first bottom tier team to do so since 89!
So next round I'll be hoping for a trip to Anfield or Old Trafford as though we will more than likely lose it'll be a cracking day out!
Hoping to avoid Swansea, Saints and Wigan in all honesty
