Never saw Adam not at least try to give his best (his best not good enough), and was never a problem off the pitch.

He also announced he wanted to fight for his place and not leave.

Great point AZ, I agree. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't quite get the animosity towards Adam. He always tried his best, had some good games, but ultimately isn't consistent enough for a top club, and certainly not consistently good enough to be a regular. Of course, it was never his fault he was a regular by the way.

The difference is we are lacking in numbers for attacking options as opposed to having plenty of CM's. Also I think plenty people actually thought he could be an asset to the team as opposed to Adam not being an asset.

Agreed Blood - I've said I think he was something of a lightning conductor for critics last season but I think that's a fair assessment.

Funnily enough I think that Stoke is not a great choice for him given style, but if the deal is right for us...

Interesting that Steve Clarke made no move for Adam, even at £4m.  He couldn't have rated him too highly.

I have made my points quite clear that I think Adams time at Anfield is up. I don't like some of the abuse he has been getting and if, what appears to be happening, he does leave, regardless of whether that is to the Bluenoses or Stoke, I wish him the best of luck, just not against us.

I don't think he made a move to loan Sahin or buy Aquilani for a mere £1.8m or buy Joe Allen either mate. I'm not sure if that means he doesn't rate them tho' and I'm not sure it's interesting either. But hey... whatever gets you through the day.

I'm not an Adam hater, BBB. I think he's a great buy for someone at that price which is why I'm surprised Clarke wasn't after him. Sahin, Aquilani and Allen clearly wouldn't go to a club like West Brom so don't see the logic in mentioning them.

At least this will negate Stokes danger from set plays.
