Oh yeah, came on here just to say i'm still beaming about that performance. It was head and shoulders above anything I expected alll things considered. Just hope it's not a one off as so often they have been in the recent past. Have to take this on now and hope we get a similar performance of belief and comitment and effort in all games.

Gutted to drop 2 points when for the majority of the game, we outplayed the "Champions".

If it wasn't for that backpass, would have been a great win nd a massive confidence booster for the season ahead.

      Joe Allen easily our MOTM.

I didn't get to watch the match, I literally fell asleep at half four and woke up at seven (I went out on an all nighter/all morning).

But judging by this thread (and YT videos) Sterling seems to have played excellent for a seventeen year old, or even someone with ten years experience.

Joe Allen seems to have been the majorities favourite too, which is fantastic.

I'm looking forward to the next game and I hope we keep developing positively as a team, and hopefully a few of the new boys to the first team will develop excellently too. Grabbing a point from last years winners is no easy accomplishment, especially after the previous weekend. Maybe next time we play them we'll win, I'm feeling positive ;)

Sterling needs to be eased in this year.
Last thing we need is him being burnt out by his mid twenties.
I'd expect Assaidi to see more gametime than Sterling.
Likewise if we bring in Dempsey or another attacking player.

We got to look at the positive that we challenge the champions bit of luck we could have won the game we were the better side but must improve the mistake so it's early days...

Or look at it another way as my brother pointed out during the game on Sunday, we drew with Man City, just Man City, who are nothing special and have never been anything special.

I suppose they've bought their title.
Time for Liverpool and Everton to make a top 4 bid and knock out Arsenal and United in the process.
Sorry where were we going with this?

      Chill the F**k out.
I meant after all that money they've just bought what could be their only title.

We should have won the game, but it wouldn't be the first time that we've outplayed top teams having thrown away points beforehand.
Now if we stop throwing away points to teams we should beat then I'll be made up.

Expectations is more preferable than criticisms,we should all encourage the lad.We have been crying out for a young lad to make the breakthrough for years, now at last we could have one in young Raheem Sterling.

Sterling set some of that expectation himself.
