Sorry if there's already a thread for Joe Cole in the transfer board but I couldn't find it.

I saw before that we've agreed terms with West Ham for the sale of him.

What's the source, mate? I would be happy to see Cole and his huge wages going elsewhere

How to agree with West Ham on terms?

WHU: How much do you want for Cole?

LFC: Can you afford his wages?

WHU: It's a bit tight but yes?

      LFC: Transfer complete!

Agree with all 3 posts before this one.

Not arsed what the fee is as long as it isn't some shitty loan where we keep paying him.

      Off you trot.

It would have to be free to compensate the buyers for taking on his Huge wage.

If he isn't part of Rodgers plan then also show him the door.

Plenty of paper talk to that effect mate, think the deal would suit all parties. If it works out can only wish Joe all the best in the future - unlike some the lad did have a go.

Got him on a free and I'd let him go on a free.
Surely he can afford the gas money to drive down south.

      The source is TalkSport.

      http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120827/west-ham-targeting-surprise-move-liverpool-midfielder-179628

The 'article' has words such as,  could, is believed, deal is far from being completed, talkSPORT understands.  So no real facts to be seen.

Think its pretty much certain Joe Cole along with a few others have a for sale signing hanging round their necks or in Joe's case 'free to a good or not so good home'.

His wages are going to be a massive stumbling block for any potential transfer and I can see a deal happening where he moves but we pay the difference in his wages.

Its not all bad though if a club takes over 60k a week of his wages it means we could probably bring a player in on a similar amount who'd offer more and possibly have a greater impact on the squad.

Well I don't know if you know this, but apparently the club is owned by a load of yanks.
Might just be a nasty rumour doing the rounds.

I think the absolute maximum we would get for him would be a nominal fee and us having to pay around 50% of his wages for the next two seasons.  LFC would still save about £5m from pointless wages over the next two years.

Ew. I feel dirty now supporting the club.

To be honest, it would be best for both parties if he moved on. He means well, he just doesn't have it anymore and is on mammoth wages.

West Ham have approached LFC with a £2M bid for Mr. Cole.

Can't question the source ;) Let them have him. No fault of Joe's but it's been a terrible transfer overall.

Just to reiterate some bits elsewhere, there is no prospect of Joe Cole leaving @LFC to go back to #WHUFC before the transfer window closes

If we end up paying £2mil it would be good money spent. xxxxx:action-smiley-065:
