Couldn't care of if it's only £2m, sod it I'd be happy to see him go on a free so long as we can get him off the books!

I think it would be a free,
1, To combat his wage demands &
2, He is a little injury prone.

It's unfortunate what has come of Joe's time here.

But ultimately he is not going to make it. Get rid and cut our losses.

£2 mil would be a steal! I'd bite their hands off for it, but ultimately the most important thing here is to just bring it to an end. Wether we get the money or he goes on a free, it's in the best interests of all involved that he goes to West Ham.

I thought he'd switched to the Gitanes, after his French Sojourn.

It's reported that he is on £90k per week here.  So I guess he would not be too keen on a big pay cut. So we need to consider would any new suiter be willing to cough up that amount.

And that's the reason he won't be going anywhere unless we're prepared to stump up about 50% of his wages for the next two years.

Why would any club wish to pay an injury riddled, soon to be 31 yr old, underperforming, "luxury" player £90k a week?

So rumour from the so-called Twitter 'ITK's' claim we are willing to pay a percentage of his wages if he leaves, think I read 30%.

I do feel a bit for Joe. He is a bit of a victim to how own extortionate high wages. That said, if he really wanted out, he could take a pay cut.

Overall, I still think he will be at the club after the window closes. I like the guy, he speaks honestly and for that I admire him. I was happy he would be given the chance under Rodgers. I wouldn't say he has blown it but he certainly hasn't impressed. Similar with what I said about Adam, if he is here after the window closes, I'll support him as he is our player and a different option. If not, beat of luck to the guy. I would prefer to see him leave, largely due to his high wages.

Would like to see him leave to free up the wages. Even if we still pay 30% of them.

I think that West Brom cameo was the final straw with Brendan personally, he gave him a few chances and came off injured both times. He should have declared himself not fit if he wasn't.

As much as he has impressed off the pitch, he hasn't done it on the pitch.

I personally would like him to stay. He's still got quality we could use in our 3 upfront formation.

He does carry a lighter on him at all times, that could come in handy, not sure its worth the 90k a week but hey we got money to burn.

That, and being able to bring him on in the last half hour of Europa league and cup ties on the left or right wing, is getting there for mine. But he isn't even reliable enough to last that long at the moment. I agree with most of what Semple said, I was willing to see him given the chances, but it's still not happening for Joe.

      Cole rejects Moscow move

Sky Sports understands Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has rejected a move to Spartak Moscow.

Sky Sports had earlier indicated that the Anfield giants were ready to listen to offers for player before the close of the transfer window.

And it's understood that the Russians, who were drawn to face Barcelona, Benfica and Celtic in Group G of the Champions League, were keen on signing the experienced 30-year-old.

Cole enjoyed a successful campaign with French champions Lille while on loan from Anfield last season.

However, since his return, injuries have impacted the creative playmaker and it's believed the Reds had been looking to offload Cole before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Spanish coach of Spartak Moscow, Unai Emery, is reportedly a huge fan of the gifted Cole as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of their European campaign.

It's believed the Russian runners-up had offered Cole a lucrative deal, but the player was not interested in a move to the Luzhniki Stadium.

Times say that he has been told by Rodgers he has no future at the club, but still doesn't want to leave.

One huge huge positive from this transfer window is seeing how every player wants to stay. Even though Carroll has gone, he had made it clear he did want to stay and fight for his place. Same with Spearing and Adam.

Suarez signed a new contract, so did Skrtel. Agger got a new tattoo to prove his love for us :P Henderson rejected a move to Fulham when the deal was agreed. Now Cole has too.

I even heard that Billy the kitman is still coming in to work even though he's not getting paid anymore.
