      Vs
      Norwich City         Liverpool F.C.

3pm K.O. Not on UK TV.

      Carrow Road

After Wednesdays very nice win with the youngsters, what will the team be on Saturday? Will we have the "experienced" team with no wins, or the Up & Comers with 2 wins? both of which have been on the road.

Brendon certainly has his work cut out, or has he? With the suspensions, and injuries that seem to be piling up, maybe, just maybe the team sheet is writing it self.

Last year we had a tidy win, 0-3 to our good selves, with the post match Tread title reading Norwich 0:3 Liverpool In game and post match jubilation! Will it be the same, or will our worst start to a League campaign for over 100 years persist?

It must be WIN WIN WIN!

So off you go with your team selections, and score predictions, don't get carried away will you.

      Oh last year, someone scored a hat-trick! SuĆ”rez 24, SuĆ”rez 28, SuĆ”rez 82

      My guess:

      Reina
      Skrtel      Coates
      Johnson                        Enrique
      Allen
      Gerrard    Sahin
      Sterling                          Assaidi
      Suarez

Bench: Jones; Carragher, Agger; Henderson, Suso; Pacheco, Yesil

Don't think Agger and Borini should play if they're cleared. No need to rush them back with such a thin squad as is.

He's got 3 goals in 6 games mate. 2 in the league, 1 in Europa qualification.

This all day long for me. Enrique thinks he has 'made it' now he is at Anfield, reward a very good performance by Robinson by keeping him in. Thought Assaidi was great yesterday, would keep him in too.

      Can't wait for this  ;D

I guess the 'big guns' will be back, although I think Henderson, Assaidi and Suso should all play some part after impressing against WBA.

I've read the injury update on the website, is it worth risking Agger and Borini when others are ready to step up? Personally I'd rest them both.

I'd like to see this side:

      Reina

      Johnson
      Skrtel
      Coates
      Enrique

      Gerrard (c)
      Allen
      Sahin

      Sterling
      Suarez
      Assaidi

Subs; Jones; Wisdom, Carragher; Henderson, Suso; Pacheco, Yesil.

Coates impressed me last night and he is also a big threat in the air. I'm not sure if Enrique is fit enough to come back in yet, if not I would put Robinson in the side.

I'd keep Gerrard and Allen together in the middle and stick Sahin in with them. I feel if we play both Allen and Hendo we are a bit to defensive. Sahin can make something happen, just like he did last night.

Sterling and Suarez look like they are forming a good partnership up front and I think Rodgers in a bit unsure who will play with them. Personally I'd go for Assaidi on Saturday. If his fitness is ok. If not I'd put Pacheco on the left side and give Assaidi a run out at the end.

I'd also bring Suso and Hendo at some point.

It will be a though game but one we can win, I'm going for a 0-2 win to add to our result last night.

Suarez and Gerrard scoring the goals!

      YNWA!!

      Don't agree with racer's formation.

I'd push Sahin up next to Gerrard and play our usual 4-3-3.

Sahin isn't a holding mid, he certainly shouldn't be deployed as one.

So the players but not the formation.
Thought Sahin played the role well last night.
Himself and Henderson played deeper than Pacheco.
If we're talking of midfield 3, be it 1-2 or 2-1, I'd take
Henderson and Pacheco out and bring Allen and Gerrard in.

I am really confident about getting a win in this game!!!  I think the midweek win paired with the positive showing last week against the scum will have the team playing confidently.  I'd like to see Agger rested so that he can get 100% fit... we don't need him to have another injury plagued season!!  I think Coates, Sahin, Assaidi, and Suso all played very well yesterday, and I think all of them deserve the opportunity to play from the start on Satruday.  I also like the idea of using Sterling as a super sub as his turn of pace will be most effective when placed against tiring defenders.  Also, having Borini on the bench in case we need another striker to be brought on seems like a good idea.

                        Pepe
      Johno  Skrtel  Coates  Enrique
                 Allen     Sahin
         Suso    Gerrard   Assaidi
                      Suarez

I'm calling a 3-0 win for us!!  First big win of the season, and the first clean sheet of the league campaign!!

Should get our first win of the season here if we play anything like we can and the referee gives us a fair rub of the green. I would like to think we could knock in 3 or 4 goals, but I think it could be another frustrating game were we dominate but struggle to convert the numerous chances we create, so I am only predicting a 1-0 win but hoping for more.

                                      Reina
      Johnson            Skrtel         Carra        Robinson

                       Gerrard     Allen     Sahin

                       Gerrard     Allen     Sahin

               Sterling        Suarez           Assaidi

In a must-win game I doubt he'll put too much youth in it. I'd expect to see more experience.

Don't really post that much but I'd like to see this team Saturday:

      Reina
      Skrtel Coates
      Johnson - - - - - - - -Robinson
      Allen - Sahin
      Gerrard
      Sterling - - - Assaidi
      Suarez

Subs: Jones; Carragher, Enrique; Downing, Henderson; Suso, Yesil.

But I don't see it, think Carragher will start, and I don't think Yesil will make the bench either.

Really wouldn't surprise me if Suso was given his first start. That was my initial thought when he was on the bench against Norwich. Sahin deserves it, though, and is the better player (in a different position).

      Wouldn't surprise me:

      Reina

      Johnson
      Skrtel
      Agger
      Enrique

      Allen

      Suso

      I'd go:

Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique; Allen, Sahin, Gerrard; Suso, Suarez, Sterling.
Jones; Agger(?), Carragher; Henderson, Assaidi, Downing; Yesil, Borini(?)

Assaidi played all 90 minutes against West Brom. I know Sahin did too, but his only other competitor, Henderson also did. Bring Assaidi on at '60 to cause trouble. Yesil should come on too, along with Henderson. If Agger and Borini are injured, replace them with Robinson and Pacheco, respectively.

4-1 Liverpool. Gerrard, Suso, Johnson, and Sterling all with a goal. Season starts on Saturday.

If we lose it we'll be in great troubles, it's a must win and I think we can win it 3-0 which would be a deserved and much needed score.
                            Reina
Johnson     Coates          Skrtel          Robinson(I would like)

                      Allen              Sahin
                             Gerrard
      Suarez             Borini(if fit)/Pacheco                Sterling/Assaidi

Brendan has basically been running two parallel teams - Carra and the youngsters and Stevie and the first team. Carra's team has been facing lighter opposition than Stevie's team but they have arguably been playing the more dynamic football. Stevie's team has been playing stronger opposition and although they have been improving they've been struggling to get results. Rodgers now finds himself in a rather delicate position as he really needs to combine the best elements of both teams to create a first team that is consistent, creative and, most importantly, productive.
I'm curious to see how much the performance against West Brom affects his selections over the next couple of weeks and whether he believes any of those who played in Carra's side did enough to oust some of the players in Stevieā€™s side this weekend against Norwich, Stoke and particularly against Reading where he might rest some of ā€œStevies teamā€.

yes in fact but my choice if Borini is not fit would be Pacheco who would play like a fake no.9. Pacheco although is not a CF, although I think we was brought here as a striker, likes to shoot(proof vs WBA) and knows how to score. He can create and combine with other players too.

Considering Agger and Borini out for this.

                                  Reina
      Johnson       Skrtel         Coates       Enrique
                                   Allen
                        Gerrard      Sahin
            Sterling                             Assaidi
                                 Suarez

Subs: Jones, Wisdom, Carragher, Henderson, Suso, Downing, Yesil.

That team kind of picks itself, doesn't it?

That's the point. Six games without a win is unthinkable so taking chances with an inexperienced team is unthinkable.

Agger, Borini out and Dani not in the squad so I'd imagine we will be something like this

      Reina

      Wisdom Skrtel Coates Johnson

      Gerrard Allen Sahin

      Sterling Suarez Assaidi

I think Henderson would be unlucky to miss out, if he does, as he has been very good when he has played.

Also I've put them as a flat three as I'm not sure if Brendan will go for a 2-1 or a 1-2. Personally I'd play Gerrard beside Allen as they have been good together and there is even a chance Suso could play just ahead of those two.

Is Enrique injured or did he travel? Actually is there any official list of players that travelled? I'm starting to fear for Enrique's future to be honest.

Hopefully we can see Johnson in his natural position this week, imagines him and Sterling/Assaidi on one of the wings. So much pace and creativity!

Wonder which academy player is getting his debut this week? :D

Judging by the pre match photos Morgan may well be making an appearance on the bench. If Suso starts I will love Rodgers forever but if its a choice between him and Sahin, Sahin should start.

He been hurt the last couple of weeks which why he hasn't feature and it doesn't seem likely he will be fit for the weekend. The only thing I can see if they might go Wisdom RB/Johnson LB or Johnson RB/Robinson LB which I think will be more likely given the impressive performance mid-week from Robinson.

      Johnson--Skrtel---Coates--Robinson

I'm surprised he's not even made the squad, thought he did well against WBA.  Hope Sahin is fit enough for tomorrow, he was excellent against WBA and I can't wait to see a fully fit Sahin, Gerrard and Allen in our midfield (until Lucas is fit again, when Brendan will have selection headaches as who to leave out for once!).

Would love to see Luis score there and shove their stupid anti-Luis chants up them again!

I'd also like to see Raheem and Assaidi on the wings with Luis in the middle.  Agree with resting Borini and Agger for this one, let them recover fully.  Coates did well against WBA and deserves a place alongside Skrtel.  Fullbacks for me would be Glen (RB/LB) and Robbo/Wisdom.  Pepe in goal.

Suso, Carra, Hendo and Yesil on the bench.

Looking forward to this so much!

Isn't Enrique fit?  I know he had a poor showing the other week, but it was his first game back after being out for a few weeks.  I think Johno and Enrique should be our starting RB and LB if both are fit.  If not, then I agree that I'd rather have Robo in at LB than switching Johno over.

      Id like to see Gerrard further up and would love so see something like this;

                             Pepe
      Wisdom    Skrtel    Coates    Johnson
                            Allen
                  Suso           Sahin
                           Gerrard
      Sterling                               Suarez

Bench: Jones, Carra, Agger, Henderson, Downing, Assaidi, Yesil

      Personally think we will see this 11 though;

                            Pepe
      Wisdom  Skrtel    Carra     Johnson
                             Allen
                Gerrard          Sahin
      Sterling        Suarez          Assaidi

Kind of hard to make that judgement considering how young they are and play in different positions. Just glad we have them both! Would be great seeing them play either side of Luis tomorrow.

Looking forward to thei, anything apart from a win is unthinkable...

If we dont win it will be a big worry for me, and will start the doom mongering around the club. We are however due to hand out a royal spanking and I can see that happening today.

I would also like to see the youth get more of a chance, in other threads BR talked about huger and desire missing from some players. In this case lets get the young players in who want to win!

      My prediction 8 - 1 liverpool...

We've admired the displays so far which have brought back no wins so I think its vital we get 3 today. Performance is secondary today.

The exciting factor for me is its actually quite hard to decide what 11 you'd like to see play. Assaidi, Suso, Sahin, Coates, Robinson, Wisdom, Henderson must be pushing for a start. Gerrard, Suarez, Allen, Sterling, Reina, Skrtel have to come back in dont they?

With a record like that M.Jones could not be accused of being a closet Liverpool Football Club supporter. How about giving him a framed certificate of his record  before kick off, just to let him know we are on to him.
Let us thrash Norwich and not give the ref any reason to dispute our performance.

Apparently today's LFC team. Reina Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson Gerrard Allen Sahin Sterling Suarez Suso.

Apart from Agger starting would have gone with Seb not to risk bringing Agger back too soon,  i dont have any qualms with this team.
Thats the only difference with my prediction.
Good Wisdom is rewarded with his performance with a first league start.
Assaidi to be on the bench, Think he worked his socks off in the previous game. Could bring something extra from the bench, same with Yesil.

Hope we embarass Norwich today and send a strong message out to the doubters that champions league footie is within reach

Who the f**k is the stupid pr**k who put down a Norwich win?. Honestly, i feel like giving up sometimes.
We do have non-lfc supporting trolls prowling around with nothing better to do than stalk our forums.

Norwich haven't really recovered from their poor start, it's about time we pounce and win. But win emphatically.

I went for Downing starting on the pre match preview on my site, thought the comments recently were there to give him a kick up the arse, but it seems a lot of people reckon Suso will start.

Wisdom has to come in at right back doesn't he? He's been really good in the last two midweek games.

Would like to see Gerrard hanging off the front 2 if hes going with Suso, Allen, Sahin, Stevie in the line up. The only place i can picture that team in Brendans probable formation is Stevie on the right in a 4-5-1 or in the middle of the front 3.

Personally I think this is a must win game. No disrespect to Norwich but we have to beat sides like this. I can take the poor league results so far, West Brom's manager knew our team very well, we had good performances against both mank teams and were unlucky not to get the result, Sunderland are a good team. a draw with them is ok and Arsenal were better than us on the day. But, anything less than a victory today, for me, is unacceptable. We have to start winning and today is the day.
Another one from the half way line from Luis would be fantastic.

Desperatly need the 3 points today, otherwise we'll keep sliping up against team we should really beat, and beat comfortably (as said above no disrespect to Norwich), but we really should put a few past these today, here's hoping anyways. 3-0 to the red men :)

Need and expect a win today. The quality of our football so far this season has been really good and with the team building on that and young exciting players coming in to the first XI I can only see a win today even if the weight of expectation could jangle the nerves a bit. Slow start but finish 3 - 0 in my opinion, come on lads!!!!!

After hearing Enrique is still injured, I think we could see this back four:

      Wisdom
      Skrtel
      Coates
      Johnson

      Or

      Johnson
      Skrtel
      Coates
      Robinson

      :)

      I would go:

      Reina

      Wisdom
      Skrtel
      Agger
      Johnson

      Allen
      Gerrard
      Sahin

      Sterling
      Suarez
      Borini if fit
