I know but it doesn't exactly strike me with confidence. I'm usually very optimistic but given the team put out and where the match is being held, against the opposition that they are, I'm not as confident as I usually would be.

In fairness, only 1, maybe 3 of the players playing tonight would be players that we would usually  see in a Liverpool European team.

I dont care about it being pretty as long as they get a result - it seems like these guys might as well fly back now with the way people are speaking on here.

They have a very tough job to do tonight.
A very young and inexperienced team to be going to Anji with.
I think most, realistically, are hoping for a draw.

Coady, Henderson and Shelvey will have to work very hard in the midfield tonight.
Carragher will have to organise the backline very well with Wisdom, Coates and Flanagan
providing an inexperienced back line.

Add to that that we should be pushing these from the front and with Cole and Downing I
don't think you get the energy levels required to do that. Hopefully we can keep them tight
for the first half and then bring on Assaidi, Pacheco and Suso.

A cold night in Russia and i would imagine a very intimidating crowd will be a geat test for the youngsters!

It depends on what you are judging them against - its the Europa League and perfect for players to gain expirence playing away - obviously it's not what you would expect in a CL fixture or a quarter or semi final but have a feeling these guys will do ok tonight.

It will be tough and we need some big performances but its such a great chance for them to grab with both hands.
