Would he? Great signing for his ability or would he be a great signing because he'd be a good fit for us? Is he strictly a left winger or can he play as a forward or behind a front man? I don't know too much about him

Was probably a toss up between him and Agger. Agger would rather bi*ch and moan about demanding to start without showing that he actually deserves too. There is also a bigger price tag on Agger's head.

To be fair to Agger hes vice captain at the club, Kolo signed knowing he was back up

Ye but its obvious you can't keep a player like Agger as a 3rd or possibly 4th choice and I don't think BR rates him. If it weren't for injuries I still feel Agger would be one of the best CB's around if he was paired with a dominant physical partner

It is meaningless being Vice Captain, but I do sympathise with him. He, in my opinion, formed a better partnership with Martin than Sakho did, and it was pretty clear the organisation of the defence was better when Agger was there.

I think Skrtel gets a lot of unnecessary praise for the goals he scores and the tackles he made. If you watch him closely you'll realise he doesn't actually read the game that well. His ability to read the game means he has to make last ditch tackles opposed to intercepting the ball higher up the field. I hope it's he who is replaced, so that Lovren and Sakho can form a new defensive partnership. We'll talk about three potential new faces in defence but it cannot be any more disrupt than it was last season conceding 50 goals.

Back to Agger - it'll be sad to see him go. He's definitely a better option off the bench than Kolo. I'm not sure I'd want Kolo needing to step up for an injured Sakho. Maybe Rojo would be a decent option given his versatility at LB and CB.

My point being to the original post that why would Kolo moan he always knew he was 4th choice/cover. Not saying Dannys right to moan but he cant be compared to Kolo

Agree with you there Agger Skrtel had more clean sheets and better stats than all other CB partnerships we've had over the last season.While Skrtel scores some goals from set pieces,he also make huge mistakes and wrong reading like you said which lead to many own goals last season.With Agger at the back the defense seemed more composed.Hopefully Lovren will provide the sense of leadership at the back which was lacked by almost all the defenders

Well yes, I watch the game during the halves, so at halftime I would like to comment on what I saw during the game. 

And it just so happens that Lambert looked like a statue out there and looked gassed after about 20 minutes.

That combined with Sturridge's injury and Borini's not being seen as good enough made me think about the fact that we need more strikers.

if you really gave a damn about the success of our club then you'd moan about it, too.

Unless you have no problem with us being weak in the striker department.

we need more strikers, ASAP.  Quality ones at that.  it's a problem.
