I honestly do believe LFC has a special set of supporters and that it has a special mentality and approach that permeates the city. The supporters are fanatical in their love for the club but switched on enough not to mob players in the streets. They have such a history and tradition to draw on that it too permeates the club the walls and whoever is associated with the club. This is 100% infectious as Morientes explained to his Father, and it's why Torres told Studge that the supporters are great and you'll love it there. I've watched a ton of ECL matches and none of them have that vibe associated with Anfield.
With the Gaffer's ability to man manage players and the entire set up at LFC, I really do believe if Balotelli comes here, he will take his game to another level. I've no doubt we can help him become a success and help him to change his attitude for the betterment of himself and LFC.
He won't have to suffer abuse due to the racism rife in Italy and he won't be just another cog in the machine like he was at Citeh. He'll be loved here and he'll feel that love and that's why I think those players with true potential (Torres, Suarez, Sterling, Owen, Fowler and probably a few others I've forgotten) thrived and hit their best at LFC and then seemingly gone on to fade away at other so called bigger clubs. Suarez may prove to be the first in a long line to buck that trend and go on to bigger things at Barca, but I would not be at all surprised if he just became one of the three up front who bags '15 a season'. As it goes, I think Balotelli has more natural talent than Suarez. Scary.
All Mario has to do is turn up and want to change his ways; LFC will do the rest. Some players need an arm around the shoulder, Balotelli is one of them. 'You'll Never Walk Alone' is not just a sound-bite; it's our philosophy and a way of life at Liverpool FC.
