Never watched much of Ochoa in Europe but always thought he was a beast for América (Mexico). Would be an interesting signing.

Not very experienced at the top level though is he? According to Transfermarkt, he's also conceded 418 goals in 298 games. That's compared to 118 conceded in 258 games for Mignolet. If this data is accurate it looks like another case of the transfer committee strikes again...

Ochoa had a great World Cup, but there's a reason Ajaccio let him go on a free. And why he's made zero appearances for Malaga.

He is mostly a playmaker though I'm sure his position could change in the next few years. For any country, to play for your national team at 15 is very impressive.

We'll have to move very very fast because he's currently having a trial at Real Madrid, he'd be superb in our team though.

i don't think they'll trust brendan with large sums of money ... maybe 20 mil for doumbia is a fair price, berahino has an inflated fee because he's english but it will be either doumbia or berahino, the latter resembles sturridge and sterling in his playing style

Yet we ridicule the Lovren signing . If there is one thing we understood from last window or past several windows is not to sign players for massive fee based on the form for a 6 months period.

I'd take these with a large pinch of salt (given our season so far and their source) but apparently we're in for Begovic, William Carvalho and Jackson Martinez in January.

if we cant find a perfect fit regardless of money do nothing the last thing we need is another potential world beater or an Italian marble statue

I'd take these with a large pinch of salt (given our season so far and their source) but apparently we're in for Begovic, William Carvalho and Jackson Martinez in January.

Would love all of them but the club haven't a notion of signing these players. Martinez will be deemed too old at 28 even though he's in his prime, Begovic will only sign if he's guaranteed first team football and the owners won't have a £12 million keeper sitting on the bench. Carvalho will go to City or United who will offer double the wages we will.

Agree completely, a player I'd love to see us go for but I am a bit concerned about his injury record is Walcott.

Think he ticks all the boxes we need. I do think he can make a striker, he can clearly play out wide too so not a problem with Studge, think the pair of them together would work beautifully and he's a Liverpool fan.

Would probably cost £30m though.

It would have been nice to get him a couple of seasons ago Luke when he was hankering after the striker role and a big pay rise at the Arse but for whatever reason we didn't.  Doubt we'll get him now though mate.
