Actually shocking that this probably is the case, especially when you consider what Shaw went for and IMO, he wasn't even that good. It's shocking how the transfer market has gone, especially where English players are concerned. I remember being shocked at the £30million or whatever it was that was spent on Rooney! Now if that move was to happen you are probably looking at near on double that.

They're already proving their worth now though with Villarreal (18 in 35) and Palermo (12 in 24), respectively. Great returns for guys who are both 21 years old.

Don't want to start a new thread for this but Mohamed Salah seems to be doing great at Fiorentina (6 goals in 7 games).

I know many said he flopped at Chelsea but I thought he actually did very well but was not played enough. Still a very good player and he's only 22. I actually think Fiorentina have gotten the better deal (Salah > Cuadrado)

Yeah, but Fiorentina have got first dibs on him for £16m as part of the Cuadrado deal.

Salah was another strange one by Mourinho much like De Bruyne and Shurrle. It's almost like he only signed Salah just so we couldn't have him without any intention of using him. But it's too early to know if Cuadrado will be a failure. Also I wouldn't get too carried away by Salah's current form he is playing in a far inferior league to the PL. I'm not that fussed we missed out on him but it would have been interesting to see how he would have played in Brendan's system.

In Northern Ireland the collective noun for cu*ts is "shower" (pronounced shire here). You can use it when you want to impress any ex-pats you meet.
