He has actually 21 when they let him go..the point is that he stayed there 5years and no one saw his potential or how to develop him - they don`t have a great record at growing young players bar Icardi recently.

I know the stats junkies don't rate him, but it's not a surprise to me that Chelsea are sniffing around Adama Traore from Middlesborough.  Pacy wide man, young etc. We could do a lot worse, he's different gravy too Ojo as of now, put it that way.

I know you don't like stats Mick which incidently show Traore has 0 goals or assists.

Totally random but I was reading a TAW article on the January window, and tried to come up with a lineup of the players we've signed in this period. What about this: Carson; Arbeloa, Skrtel, Agger, Insua; Mascherano, Grujic, Coutinho; Maxi, Suarez, Sturridge. Not too bad is it?

But obviously none of those clubs had any desire to keep those players otherwise they wouldn't have sold them.

I know you are being sarcastic, but it's really not that far wide of the mark.  Maxi, Suarez, Coutinho, and Studge were all being shopped around by their respective clubs.  Most of the rest were from small clubs/leagues and we had no competition for their signatures. 

It would be great if we could find some similar value out there -- a player like Suarez would make all the difference for us -- but I just don't see it happening...
