Jürgen does the right thing. You run a team so that every section (defense, midfield, offense) has at least one adequate substitution: in defense's it's Lovren + Matip, in midfield it's Lallana + Fabinho, in offense it's Shaq + Sturridge. We are loaded. You cannot run a team on the idea to be prepared if 3-4 key guys fall, not even Pep with City might be able to feature a top team with 4 of his best guys gone. That risk has to be taken, it's life and not PS5 FIFA.

That said I still hope for Fekir or this other dude from Lyon. Keita looks more suspicious by the minute....

Why not? Coutinho feigned injury twice to force a move so why not join our most hated rivals, this kid has zero integrity.

As I have said I really hope this doesn't bite us in the arse, but I have a very uneasy feeling about it, especially knowing how prone to injury our players are late in the season, but I'm sure Jürgen has factored that in and that if it does bite us in the arse all of you will still be 100% behind this decision.

Michael Edwards has me believing in this team EVEN MORE with the business that he makes. We are in good position to win the league, but with this guy at the helm on personal moves we are in GREAT position to win lots of stuff in the coming years.

I’ve always thought we’ve needed an extra man in the midfield/attack, it’s the reason I wanted us to go back in for Fekir and why I would like to see us go for Werner. Out goings don’t make a difference, Solanke going makes no difference, if Origi goes it makes no difference, if Lallana goes it makes no difference etc etc, because the players we have in back up in these areas of the pitch, players that are supposed to be established players, simply don’t have what it takes. Sure Origi got the winner vs Everton but in truth, if such an injury crisis happens that we need 3/4 of the back players further up the pitch, we aren’t winning anything this season.
Didn’t need this game against Wolves to tell me that. But if we don’t bring anyone in then I just hope to god we don’t lose anyone important and we can replicate our success from the first half of the season. Also a reason why I’m not overly fussed about the line up today, I think it will only benefit us going forward. It’s another game without losing a key player and it’s less games with a chance of going to a sh*t hole of stadium in the lower division and losing a player on a piss poor pitch or because someone in the lower division wants to leave their mark on Salah or Bobby etc because they have nothing to lose by going hell for leather.

If Lovren's injury is long term then maybe we'll look at CB but as 7KK7 above said the players who we might lose don't have any impact when played anyway so playing a younger player could be a better option.

The trouble with Milner at LB isn’t that he can’t do a job it’s that he’s not offering what Robbo does in terms of defensive solidity and finding pockets of space.

We definitely need another forward but I don't think that was ever on the agenda until the summer and I don't think tonight changed that.

It’s that left side of the midfield that’s an issue. We’ve tried to accommodate Keita there when he’s been fit and it’s not working for the lad, we tried it with Jones today and we try it with Gini, Hendo or whoever is playing on the day.
