just looking through the top six teams and these hasn't been too many signings and UTD still haven't done a deal for  McGuire .
Agents fees are a problem and it takes money out of the game and into pockets of people who do F**k all for the clubs or the fans so F**k them.

      Strange logic being applied here.
To make the same mistake someone would have to leave first.

Reckon this will be the summer of new contracts to key players.
I was referring to players getting injured ... we’re going to have a busier schedule this season than last and our front three have not really had a proper break, which is a recipe for injury problems.

There is not enough depth up front and we are lighter there anyway having lost Sturridge

My worry is that we lose two of the front three for medium/long term injuries and are then reliant on Shaqiri / Brewster / Origi ... as good as they are, they’re not going to mount a genuine challenge to fully fit Firmino / Mane / Salah.

      2) For too long we've seen (so many times) that the percieved wisdom isn't really true. It's more to do with British managers throwing money at a problem to solve it, and a lot of the time it goes wrong.

Respectfully I disagree. Loads of players involved with Man Utd during the 1990s talked about the impact of new high quality signings and how it galvanised the existing group of players pushing them to do even better.

It’s a real thing, not some kind of placebo effect ... and, as we are the current European Champions, we are in a great position to entice quality (not necessarily ‘big’ names) but we seem to have imposed our own transfer embargo on ourselves this summer!

I wouldn’t want Coutinho or probably Bale ... the other two, yes, would be great to have them but Bale is no spring chicken and Coutinho has shat on us once already - as soon as things start to pick up for him personally there’s no reason why he won’t do it again

Yep you’re right ... one of the things to come out of the tragic death of Sala was how murky the whole agent business can be ... the guy who is no longer a licensed agent, using his son as a surrogate agent whilst simultaneously coercing Cardiff to give his two other sons playing contracts or else saying that he will not facilitate any transfers from within France and the French league ... whilst also coercing the player to join a club he does not want to and using some cheapskate cowboy to transport said player.

The whole affair is pretty murky and - let’s be honest - isn’t even top league stuff ... I can only imagine what goes on with so-called super agents

There are always outliers, and the fact that united were miles ahead of everyone, by virtue of having a core that had been together through all age levels of club and representative football made them an outlier.

Our squad is new together by comparison.
      It's completely different.

Now that you've spoken about man u, check how many teams tried and failed to win by throwing money at the squad.
The answer is pretty much all of them.
Despite throwinng huge sums of money around it took city 4 years to win the title, and they only did it because they had a settled core.

Klopp has basically said (multiple times now) that contract extensions are our transfers this year. Which is fine as long as those players play to potential and don't get injured for any serious amount of time.

Origi is our new striker signing, Brewster is our new striker signing, Naby Keita and Ox when healthy are new signings. Lallana is a new signing, etc.....

We have a lot of depth if everyone stays healthy.

If they don't, he's going to have a challenge on his hands.

So you think they would refuse Klopp the funds to buy who he wants at the moment ?

      Yes.

It's not hard to understand, and his time at the club backs it up.

It's just wumming to say otherwise, and at this stage is a bit silly, given the evidence and Klopp's own words don't support it.

I don't know why and am probably totally wrong, but I have a feeling we will buy Fernandes. I also hope we do as well.

Diego likes him and he always seems to have a good eye for a player. If his assessment is correct he would seem a perfect fit

you think Klopp doesn't want to add to the squad? Honestly?

I am sure he does and the board is prepared to back him up for it IF the boss finds the player he wants. Literally, he said that so himself every f*cking time.

We wouldn't finish 97 points with a CL trophy without the board backing the manager with signings he wants.

      It's not rocket science.
