We are simply not going to compete with City financially. No one can except PSG and depending on Chelsea's mood.

City can spend 100M on Grealish and you know they are replacing Aguero with a #9, which could easily be another 100M.

De Bruyne would be one, plus several others at city, how about your very own Pogba and Fernandes, I'd also argue a fully fit Keita is better, Thiago as well (if allowed to play a more attacking role). In Europe I'd imagine there are quite a few better midfielders than Grealish.

Don't get me wrong Grealish is a very good midfielder and would improve most sides but you'd be paying a hell of a premium for an English player and I think there are better options, the one I keep banging the drum for is Odegaard, I think he will develop into a superb midfielder.

Grealish is a Rolls Royce midfielder, a leader, with a brilliant attitude on the pitch. Have to disagree on Keita I think Grealish is a level above Naby but not world class like De Bruyne. At least not yet. Naby will never get to that level even when fit he is a good sometimes very good player but will never be Grealish level. I put Grealish in the same class as Fernandes and Pogba.

De Bruyne shouldnt even be on your list as he's not available. Neither is Fernades. I'm on about the ones that could be available. Odegaard not in the same league as Grealish. Grealish is better than very good. If/when he goes into the so called top six he will become even better than what he is now.

The thing is he grew up a Liverpool fan, I honestly think this kid will be the next big thing. I'm not sure what Real Madrid want for him but I'm sure a deal could be had, especially if one of our forwards goes the other way.

Absolutely superb today and would certainly add something to our team.

Wouldn't be swapping one of our forwards for him though. Deals can always be made for Madrid's fringe players - look at Sneijder and Robben in the past and Llorente just recently.

There's dickheads in most teams Heimy, I do agree though. However,  Remember the Liverpool saying? He may be a dickhead, but he's our Dickhead.

That only applies if they are desperate to keep him and considering he is always out on loan I find that unlikely.

Haven't seen him. If we're looking for another energetic player like Wijnaldum, I'd go for Tielemans from Leceister. He's quite a character and has a very good attitude. He scores and assists. He's young and, having played for Leceister and Rodgers, he would fit in this team.

Yes, I'm harsh on Wijnaldum. He's a very good midfielder but, for me, a midfielder needs to show character and leadership. You should make a difference when you're playing. Fabinho does. Keita does, by example, always trying to do things. And Hendo has been doing it for some years now although he did not before.

As for Wijnaldum, it never happens. Maybe because he is another beast when playing as no. 10/AM like he did vs Barca or when he plays for his national team - he always scores for them. Then it's Klopp's fault IMO.

Seen a rumour in the echo saying were also keeping tabs on Aaron Ramsey.
