That's the problem with all these rumors. People forget it takes us forever to do deals because we don't ever blow teams out of the water with our bids. We start super low and have to work our way up. We don't really have time for that now. Dicking around as usual.

I know we have Trent and Gomez + Clyne, but this lad is an excellent player, be a very good signing for them.

To be fair I'm not even arsed about signing him, I don't think he's all that anyway and can only see him as a squad player as I think both Can & Gini are better players.

100%. Would be gutted if decide to get him instead of Lemar.

So I go to The Echo, The Telegraph and these boards for breaking news. For the next two days, what are some other good sources for transfer news (that aren't just repeating the others)? Any especially good Twitter follows? Is 4-4-2 reliable?

My take on it is.

We have signed VVD already with an agtreement that it only comes out at the last minute tomorrow.

Offsetting the news that we sold Coutinho last minute.

We will announce the Lemar signing tomorrow as per agreement with Jim White.

We announce Ox at around 8 tonight.

Would have liked us to put in a bid for Mahrez, now that Lemar talks have broken down. Leicester's asking price is well known and adds quality to our midfield.

Klopp clearly isn't going to use Sakho so we obviously need a talented CB.  I'm concerned that the VVD deal isn't going to go through.  IF we knew it wasn't going to happen I would be suggesting we go straight to WBA and bid late for Evans.  He is better than Lovren and is a better footballer all round.

Yeah I find it a bit weird that more clubs haven't been in for him, really good player, but I suspect he might be a bit of a tw*t as well.

Take it with a shovel load of salt, but he was on the money with the Keita business so I'll give a little bit of thought at least. Mahrez has impressed me with the way he's reacted to handing in a transfer request and as dead ball specialists go I've seen few better. He created more chances than any player in the entire league last season and we could do a lot worse than him. Interesting.
