Apparently we’ve been offered the chance to sign GK Kevin Trapp from PSG in January... heard his name a few times, but don’t know much about him..

I can’t imagine the Gunners are competing with us for any signings the way they have gone the last couple of years and the way they are headed under Wenger. If anyone honestly wants to join them, go ahead.

He is absolutely brilliant. Saw him live for Mexico against Belgium a few months ago.

Can play anywhere across the front three and he might not really be a wide player in our system. The way he plays, I can totally see him being a stand-in for Firmino. He has that same tenacity, workrate, ball winning ability, good technical player and he's prolific in front of goal. Perhaps the Sturridge replacement? Firmino - Lozano - Solanke looks good to me. Not a lot of experience there, but that's a lot of talent.

11 goals and 7 assists in 19 league games so far. Might only be the Dutch Eredivisie and he plays for by far the best team in the league, but those are still very nice numbers.

If anyone likes watching young players, there's two more I really like that I think would fit our team, both young. Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Mönchen Gladbach, Eden Hazard's brother) and Leon Bailey (Leverkusen). Great players.

I have a few Mexican friends whom I've watched Mexico matches with and they all love Lozano, which is why I started paying attention to him, whilst still with Pachuca. At the time I saw him mostly on the left wing, cutting inside, but he does seem to be the kind of versatile attacking player that could adapt to other positions. I haven't seen him play for PSV but in the past couple of seasons he seems to have started scoring more often as well, and mature as a player. Looks like a star in the making.

I love Bailey, he's been better than Brandt (previously linked to us) in the matches I've seen, very quick and with good delivery from wide positions. From Gladbach I'm a fan of Vincenzo Grifo, he's not so young (24 or 25 I think) and he missed the whole of the start of the season due to injury, so he hasn't been playing much, but he's a very technical player that if given chances will definitely score and assist quite a few. I think he'd have made a better signing for the likes of Everton than paying ridiculous money for Sigurdsson. BMG paid less than 10m euros for him.

Oh please, hes been a failure in the premier league. There were rumours before he joined them that he was mentally weak, and I think that has been found out.

I don't agree about Can, but slight upgrade on Hendo or Gini. Only problem is it's probably too small an upgrade to pay for when we have a bigger problem area.

I hope that it is not for 75/80M which seems a lot to me, but I'm happy that Klopp is making things happen to solve our issues. It's not my money anyway.

We still need to buy another good CB IMO and sell Lovren and Klavan.

I'd imagine there's add ons in that price somewhere but still, improves our back line straight away and if that's the price then that's the price.

35m is enough for a goalkeeper. VVD is probably worth 75m. It's his set pieces we are paying for as well. He can take pennos or free kicks.
