They are also offering 30m "sign on" bonus to Sanchez so the total outlay is more like 55m for City plus the 220k in wages.

I think that 30 million pound figure is if he signs at the end of the season, not as part of a deal in January.

If 220k is his going rate, I can't imagine City have a free go at him. Surely another club is in for him at that price?

That's not how I read it mate don't recall the source now but it was suggesti the 30m would be an immediate incentive.

Apparently he's on 150k at Arsenal and 220k is City's sweet spot. Agree with you though I would go all out for him regardless.

Losing Coutinho but gaining a keeper like him and Van Dijk, it would seriously soften the blow. I am confident enough in Lallana returning to form for Phil so lets continue to improve our defense and we still have a very formidable attack in Mo, Bobby and Mane.

I would stay away from Oblak, good shot stopper but poor with his feet. Also, very liable when it comes to crosses in the box, he really can't handle them.

Maybe Allison is a better target, not sure but very rare to find good GKs these days.

thought the latest stories were suggesting they've lowered demands to around £60m? I still havent seen anything credible EVER linking us to him.

nobody is being sold now Coutinho has been sold. We would need to replace Coutinho first. I'm guessing that you are getting some real garbage from Twitter to wind people up here.

I'd say the future is currently brighter than at any point in those 5 years he was here. We have a far better squad depth wise and a longer term vision for improvement
