Who was offered a 180k pw deal and not forced out

Wenger said in a interview that he had not improved. and £180 k per-week is half of what they are willing to pay Ozil and as for not being force out , wenger did little to try and keep him, but just about enough so we (LFC) or anyone else would have to pay a decent price

Was never ever an option for us as his wife wanted to stay in London hence why aresenal didnt just swap him for Auba and not strengthern a rival which obviously wouldve been their preference.

So it was a london club or nothing.

Sometimes transfers arent as simple as football manager where a team offers 17m so that player MUST be available to anyone who will pay 17m
Don't, I have never played football manager or such games

Well considering he matched his entire season goals scored at his career at Arsenal in about a dozen matches for LFC suffice to say there is room for improvement.

What would you expect the cryptkeeper to say after he lost another player?

Love how you tried to put a spin on this to make it look good....AOC score 12 goals in his entire Arsenal career... That between 2011 & 2017... Six years and no more than two goals in any one year, and because he has 3 this season for us he is a great player...?

Wenger has the best record of finding and bring through young players in the EPL and if he says AOC has not improve you can take that to the bank

Disagree with this RDR. Wenger was frustrated to lose him. In his Arsenal v Liverpool pre match presser he questioned Alex's decision to move to Liverpool and whether he had achieved what he had intended to achieve. In any case, I believe we gave reached a point where its my opinion vs yours. So let us agree to disagree. :)

lots of players under perform at Arsenal. Look at Walcott at Everton. At the right club Walcott would have been prolific. I don't disagree they find talent, but they also stagnate it.

Melissa Reddy is saying we have a very busy summer ahead in terms of signings coming. She said a GK is on our top of the list and midfielders.

She said selling Coutinho and not buying a replacement wasn't due to balancing the books, but I'm sure she's another FSG mouthpiece just like James Pearce who said the exact same thing.

Actually, she could very well be being fed that info by the club to placate the doubters. She and Pearce typically only announce things once the club insider gives them the last minute info.

Same people not happy with business here are by and large the same people not happy with business in the summer, and quite frankly you'd like to think you'd learn your lesson. Trust Jürgen, your complaining about lack of signings or net transfer or some other bollocks over the last 2 seasons has seen us have the most successful 2 season run the club has had in a decade and the same of old sh*t comes out over and over regardless of how we have steadily improved.

Could we have signed 3 more players, yes. Has it done us any good in the past? I remember it was a revolving door of 'potential' here not so long ago, in fact THE SAME moaners complained then about 'too many signings' and 'moneyball'. You literally asked for this 3 years ago and now the toys are being thrown out of the pram again. 'Wahhhh Spurs got Lucas Moura' ' who let's be honest nobody knows F**k all about unless you watch the French league every week and if you do you're a sucker. We bought the best centre back in the league and the most expensive defender in history, we have the most expensive player in African history and the 2nd most expensive centre midfielder ever and the most touted midfielder in a generation Naby Keita on the way in. We have King Mo and we have money to burn after selling the second best Brazilian we have at the club.

Definitely with you on trusting the manager. I'm interested in Reddy's article about the summer, mentioning a goalkeeper, a defender, two midfielders and a forward being targeted. All of that would make sense and it would, I guess bring the final verification of "the money is there" statements. It would also fit in to the "4-year" project line of thinking (would be 3 1/2 to be technical but you know...). It's clear by  now Klopp prefers to work with new players from the beginning of preseason rather than from January, for the sake of players understanding and buying into the system. Hopefully exciting times ahead for the remainder of this season and beyond.

After every weak window there's a "look forward to our approach in the next window" comment and the same sh*t happens..

We do nowt then a story of the next window pops up..

      This happens every window..

An excuse why we didn't spend, suggestions we'll go ham In the following window, we don't, onto the next window with that generically manufactured optimism.

Maybe it is down to having to many fails starts (The return of the mighty Liverpool) under one manager or another, and on the whole a lot of times we (The Supporters) could see that we were two or three quality signings away from those days returning; only to be let down by the lack of real investment in many a recent case, or the manager themselves...

Gave this a little thought last night and realized that FSG knew what they were doing when they signed Klopp as the Liverpool manager.

He is the perfect manager for them... Can achieve great things on a "Tiny Budget", Does not like paying over the top, can find a young gem every now and then, (the "Resalable Value" aspect of things side meet) which of course means when that player is sold for £xxxM that money can go back into the team (sometime I argued the owners did not always do) and it feeds the impression that FSG are investing in the club, when in fact it is the clubs money that is feeding the transfer budget with in itself...

Sorry, going a little off point...
It is the false start that fuels some of this... But also the owner/manager too... I don't think, if they were to be honest anyone truly believe that Klopp is not right for the club (Even Rib ;D), or believes that does not truly love the club and supporters,So in away that makes it even harder for supporters to except the stance that FSG takes, especially when Everton spend more (net) than we are. It is a hard pill for some to sallow...

There's a very common tendency to over stretch other people's arguments in order to try and prove a point.

I don't see why thinking the club should've spent more on transfers than AFC Bournemouth in net terms over the past 5 years means that you automatically want the club to sign Balotelli, Lambert and a huge amount of crap. That doesn't even mean that one necessarily thinks FSG should be investing their own money; but rather that one believes transfers and wages - that is, football spending - is the most important one at the club and that it should take priority over other spending. The club generates enough revenue to sustain more net spending than that, surely. Or at the very least, if only the club were paying our players similar wages to our competitors, maybe it could have been excused for a negative net spend on transfer fees. But that's not the case either. Our highest earners probably don't get close to any of the clubs around us, with the exception of Spurs, who by no accident are the only club without a trophy for longer than us in that top 6.

Also, the idea that buying a replacement for Philippe Coutinho now would be "panic" buying is utterly ridiculous, for the club knew he was leaving a long time ago. There was plenty of time to prepare. Not replacing him, just like not getting VVD in the summer, was a failure - no need to sugarcoat it - it was a failure in strategy or execution (negotiations). Hopefully we'll be able to remedy it in the summer as we did with VVD in the winter window, but that does not erase the initial error.

And if the timing was not right in August for selling because we couldn't replace him, then nothing changed now, which means he shouldn't have been sold now either.
