No chance!!! He is having a world class season in the #9 role, but if we do go for a striker/forward, I wouldn't want an out and out striker, more a second striker that likes to drop off and get involved with the build up play.

I remember watching him in the U21 Euro's (or was it world cup?), and he was by far one of the best players, if the not the best, very Xavi like from what I remember.

Very interesting that we seem to be interested in the more technically strong midfielders rather than industrial ones. I wonder what Klopp is planning.

I think Bobby is the main reason we were able to cope so well with the absence of Coutinho. Salah helped, but Bobby revived his CAM DNA from the Hoffenheim days and really played that ''half nine'' role to perfection.

So I can understand people seeing him dropping to a CAM role, but you are absolutely right. Leave him where he is at the moment.

Considering we play three in midfield, we either need another CM or a strong DM if Keita won't be used as a no.6

I don't think there is a need for a CAM. Firmino already drops down to do this job with his 9.5 role. We need a proper destroyer (CDM) because I think Keita might be a no.6 on paper, but he will definitely be used on the length of the pitch as a box to box guy along with Ox.

We need somebody who can be a proper sweeper in front of the back 4. I know people are raving about Neves and rightly so, but I don't know if he is the type of player that can properly execute this task. He is a fine passer and creator, but weak physically and all around not as good defensively as he is on the offensive side. 

In an ideal world the man I want filling the CDM/destroyer role for us is Steven N'zonzi. The man is a beast defensively. 6ft5 so he dominates his aerial duels, very strong on the ground as well in terms of tackling and, reads well the game defensively, good passer so he is also useful going forward.

Ps: In an ideal world I'd have Javi Martinez or Casemiro playing this role for us, but realistically speaking we can splash cash much more easily in Sevilla's face than in Bayern or Madrid's face

Just thinking if we were to get a strike in the same ilk as a Gabriel Jesus, Paulo Dybala, Kylian Mbappe etc, or another Daniel Sturridge rather than replacing one of the front three that maybe it would be a better option to move Firmino in to midfield, he is certainly creative enough

It is easy to say we keep him on the bench...
Beside which I believe you could put bobby anywhere in midfield and he would still set up goal and score his fair share of them just like Steven Gerrard

Tarkowski is not a bad shout but will be way over priced as he's an England international but would take him for sure.

Shaw no thanks as he's a fat Manc.

Bobby is a striker now and thriving in the role would not replace him for anyone up top right now.
