You ever watched Mignolet play these last few years? Karius between January and that Champions League final probably showed more competence in goal in those 5 months than Mignolet did in 5 years. He, more than anyone, was most responsible for our bad defence in the months and years pre January of this year. For a keeper I had high hopes for in 2013 and who got off to a decent start with three clean sheets in his first three matches with us he really has turned into an absolute wreck of a keeper and has just got worse and worse over time, failing to repay the constant 'second chances' he's been given by not just Klopp but Rodgers as well. In the last year alone you can look at Arsenal away last Christmas. Leicester away last September. Watford this time last year. West Brom at home this year in the Cup. F***ing atrocious. In Klopp's first season as well he arguably cost us the chance to qualify for the Champions League what with his clangers in 2-2 draws at Anfield against West Brom, Sunderland and Newcastle (all of which we led, the latter two matches 2-0) and then a vintage balls up of a display that saw us lose to Southampton 3-2 after leading 2-0 at half time. 9 points dropped that would have seen us into the top 4 back in 2016.

The difference that Karius had during that period from Jan until May was - VVD , his arrival prob ensured that the GK was under far less pressure but even then Karius had his moments of both brilliance and horror.

Karius looks like he has all the attributes of a great GK bar one thing - the mental toughness , hopefully he goes away and has a couple of solid seasons. Right now i would prefer young Grabara as Number 2 over Ming

Looks like Origi, Chirivella and Solanke all staying, while Markovic choosing between PAOK and Anderlecht. Not sure if that is a free transfer, but might as well be as he is out of contract. We paid 20 million for him. What a bust.

Tuchel said last week or 2 that he was unlikely to sign, and it's looking very likely he will leave on a free next summer. I think he is the perfect fit for our team. I wouldn't bet against him joining us next summer, we will definitely need to sign a midfielder next summer.

Looking forward to spending that 100m war chest we were going to receive for our misfits

If our interested is legit, then I can't see any reason why this would not happen. He is a Liverpool fan and he can choose a new club as soon as January. Give him a good contract and he is ours.

Box-box and more attack minded than our Milner or Wijnaldum. Can play as the 6 too. Very good footballer and a fine athlete.



Also, the story originally came from, Julien Laurens (French version of, Raphael Honigstein), a respectable French journalist.

If this happens then it happens in January for a small fee. They’d rather lose him to us than potentially on a free to Barca. IMO like.

Could be a reason why we didn’t seek an alternative to Fekir.
