Sometimes in life you have to take risks. Christ we’ve taken enough risks on nothing players like Downing over the years and seen no benefit, why not take a risk on a quality player instead that actually has the ability to win you games. Every player has an element of risk regarding injuries, they can happen to any player at any time. Look at Ox, long history of injuries and time spent out, we still spent £40mill on him in the final year of his contract and got some damn good performances from him as the season went on. Obviously he is injured again now but it happens it’s part of football. Bobby could have lost his eye sight vs Spurs, anything can happen. Just because the club would have done the surgery differently, doesn’t mean to say it’s been done wrong or certain to get another injury with the knee.

Cant make my mind up about Ramsey.....price may be attractive but cant see where he fits in.

I agree, but honestly, for they money they were talking about...would he even be playing right now? Or after Ox comes back? I think the squad is pretty well balanced to be fair. Trust me, I was as pissed as anyone that we dropped out of the running for him, but the more I read about his injury and the recovery, I'm just guessing for the money being talked about the club got cold feet and that's understandable. I think your example of Ox actually justifies somewhat the clubs actions. Last thing they need is another high priced player in the physio's room for a year.

 I think his ship has sailed, but if Im honest I want us to put a Jan bid in I dont know why but like you I think  he is something special, sure hes a gamble like every player we sign but whats £40 million for the Premiership ( I think he would make that much of a difference)  he bossed City when he played against them a few weeks ago, scored a goal, ran the show they didnt have a clue how to handle him ,plus I dont think he would need to get up to speed for the Premiership well not on the evidence of the City game ,what would really grind my gears is if one of our rivals took a gamble on him,and he came back to haunt us, yeah I know no logic to it but there it is,opinions eh.

They would never, ever, sell him to us -- no matter how much we offered.  Pogba hasn't been good under Mourinho, but Hazard also struggled under his negative tactics.  Under a better manager (like Klopp) he would be boss.

He is another James Milner when fit with a better eye for goal. I think he'll be a good addition to the squad... a natural premier league 8 (exception would be if we're to choose between him and Fekir)

That's what we were telling you in the summer, but you said we didn't need him. I also mentioned that we can't expect to have same form as previous season. In summer I felt like we needed a player like fekir and I still do. He is class.
BTW this isn't I told you so. It's yeah I agree with you. He definitely is worth a gamble.
how much did hammers pay for Brazilian from Lazio. Can't remember his name atm. If you look at how muchmoney is thrown around. I say he is worth the chance and we should go back for him in Jan. Just my two cents.

I can see potential in Keita and Shaq, even with their limited playing time so far, but I did see nothing from Fabinho what makes me think he can be better than Gini, Milner or Henderson. Fab is a DM all the players you quote are central or attacking midfielders, so no we don’t have players who can play that role.
