I've gathered that Lucas being substituted the last few games he is still working way back to fitness, or maybe Rodgers feels he could play better.

      Assaidi on the bench!  :)

Teams about right IMO Lucas needs time to catch up can't afford his recovery to affect our fading chance of 4th

Beaten to it by the boss. ;)

Think it makes sense to rest Lucas, he's been going non stop since he came back from injury, he needs the rest.

Lucas has been awful IMHO since he came back, bringing Allen in will improve us no end.

Allen, Henderson and Downing.... can't say I'm excited about the team.

Wonder what Sahin has to do to force himself back into contention or is he still injured?

      Two main gripes:

      1) What the f**k does Coates have to do to get a game? Or, how poor do Skrtel and Agger have to be for one of them to get dropped and put a bit of pressure on them?

      2) Again no Sahin on the bench. He's been training with a mask so I reckon he could at least come off the bench.

Hopefully Assaidi gets some minutes. Hardly ever see him in the league. I think the Allen/Henderson midfield could be pretty decent today in fairness.

Hopefully it's Gerrard that is the attacking of the 3.

QPR Team; Cesar, Diakite, Traore, Hill (C), Cisse, Taarabt, Wright-Phillips, Mackie, Onuoha, Nelsen, Mbia

That is a very beatable team there. Think we need to put them to the sword early on. We've scored early in our last 3 matches I think we can do it again and knock their confidence. They shouldn't have the mental strength to come back.

Nice to see Assaidi get onto the bench and no surprise to see both Suso and Shelvey dropped after their latest displays.

      Just win.

Only thing I'm concerned about is the lack of creativity in midfield. Hopefully Gerrard will prove me wrong. I think putting Suso in a similar position to Allen or Henderson would have been great. He was brilliant for Spain at the U21 Euros in that role.

Like the look of that TBH...

Pressing team that should overpower them - and Gerrard attacking! Lucas needs a rest and I beleive Sahin cant play at the moment due to his nose! Would like to see Assadi come on at some point as his pace is scary...

Lets get stuck right in and rip them to peices!

Anyone reckon there's some of Fowlers old tape still lying around the club? Slap some on Sahin's snot and get him back in the squad!

Assaidi is an interesting addition to the squad, hope he gets a run out and a chance to prove himself.

Aside from Suarez I would agree... Still, sometimes you need to grind out a result and this team has that ability me thinks!

Interesting to see Henderson in for Lucas and good to see Assaidi on the bench.

Any team we put out should be too good for this lot so I don't want to see anything other than a win.

      Come on Redmen!!

Faith George Lucas - faith my friend..!

I agree with wat you say - but horses for courses. A team like that could be exactly what we need to win. Sometimes playing a 'poorer' side against a 'poorer' team gets results. Kind of the opposite of playing a strong team against championship oppositon!
