He might of had a couple more, probably should of but his movement and pace looked outstanding in the middle and basically told Shelvey where to pass it. It's not a knock on Shelvey who overall had a decent game but Sturridge not being fit still scorched past the defenders like no other player in a red shirt could.
Thought some of his link up play was excellent others sloppy, the same with his dribbling but then that pitch was horrible for it, was no surprise when he could rely more on his pace that he had more joy. On the balance of all things and considering he's returning from injury I was very pleased with his debut.
