I just read an amazing fact. Sturridge has only played more than 14 matches in a season only twice in his career. That is a crazy statistic. Imagine how good he could be if he could stay healthy. If he played an entire season he would be a 50 goal scorer. No doubt.

If that stat is true then even more ridiculous we offered him a £150k a week contract.

Different beasts for me....Aguero is just a force of nature and can plow through your defense....Danny dances through it. 6 of one and half dozen the other for me but I get what you are saying.

Hey...why not have both of them ;D

      I'm with you FL.

Both fit and on top form I'd have Danny.

So so frustrating with Danny's injuries! But those two goals are just a reminder of what a superb talent he is. He could achieve so much more at this club if he wasn't injured half the time.

Fantastic to have him back, he's had an immediate impact!

      That is not true.

Beware the split-seasons listed on Wikipedia.

Is Danny injured, heard he has pulled his hamstring but I would have expected to see it in here?

What does Klopp expect, he's played him in back to back games, the boy isn't a machine. Well done to him for lasting this long though...

This guy is made of glass ffs. Fantastically gifted player. One of my favourites on outright ability, but he just isn't going to offer us enough to be our main goal scorer. We need another striker of similar quality, but who doesn't break when lacing their boots...

Might as well give up on Sturridge as any sort of main stay in the team as you never know when he will be injured.

A world class striker required asap.

Its at the point where the club must stop waiting for him to get healthy. He is a pure talent but is completely unreliable for a club trying to win a title. We need to look at Sturridge as nothing more than a Sub from the bench.  I hate too say it but, if we can sell him on i think the club should take the money. He just cannot stay fit and it will probably be an issue for the rest of his career. Reminds me of Owen.

Who is going to spend 20m on someone who plays less than 10 games a season?

Honestly - I cant see him staying...

Too many injuries for the lad, yes a real talent but no club can take him on this basis. Real shame, but unless he comes back and starts banging them in for a good run of games I think he will be sold...

This is the 18th time Sturridge has been injured whilst being a Liverpool player and those injuries span 34 months. In total Sturridge has had 35 injuries in 99 months as a professional footballer.
In comparison Sergio Aguero has had 24 injuries in 50 months at Manchester City and Wayne Rooney 77 career injuries in 150 months.

To who? And for what price? Very few teams will want to pay him the wages for him to take up space on their treatment tables for 6-9 months a year. Fewer still will be willing to pay us a reasonable fee to acquire his services.....

Hes great out there on the field but I would take someone over him who can put in consistent performances even with worse finishing.

He just doesn't play enough to make it count and you need a solid roster for post Christmas rotation.

Come summer this should be done and who knows the replacement could have better finishing but that I doubt.

Most likely we will just get a nameless striker but still better out on the pitch than in the stands.

He is like a special ability in a video game. You know what I mean, that one ability that gives you the boost you need to go mad for a minute and kill all your enemies then its an hour cooldown.

Thats Sturridge for us, play him in a game, he WILL score, but then a 6 month cooldown before he can be used again!

Its getting boring now, we need new options.
