I was just curious as I'm the same.

Obviously a fantastic player but much rather watch Zidane in his prime to be honest.

Think I've said this to you before, Zidane was just the ultimate player to watch. He could do all these fancy dribbles, his touch was just amazing, his finishing was awesome, just had the whole package for an attacking midfielder. I think it's more down to the intelligence he showed on the pitch, didn't rely on any physical attributes, just all technical. Think I've seen in the past a stat that said in his entire career, he was never caught offside....which is astonishing!

Fair play to Messi, think Ronaldo can actually feel a bit hard done by this year though, think he was more deserving.

We did chat briefly about it before mate.

Zidane is a pretty big guy but just looked so in control of the football at all times.

Very interesting looking at the politics of the voting. For example, Algeria voting for Benzema as player of year. Our Stevie voting for Xabi Alonso as 3rd choice.

Why is every name on the list back to front apart from Ronaldo's?

I'm sorry but any ballot that didn't even have Ronaldo on it in 1st, 2nd or 3rd should have been tossed out. Shocking that someone wouldn't think he's one of the top 3 in the world.

You don't score 91 goals in 69 games as well as get a load of assists and not deserve to win it. Well earnt for the 4th year running!

Well Iker Casillas didn't have Messi in his top three, and his first choice was Ramos.

And that's just as foolish...and obviously biased.
