why the F**k doesn't Downing use his pace in the Premier league? He's one of the fastest player's we've got, yet he' never uses it? And he's a winger FFS..

I think quite a few of our players are frightened of picking up an injury on this pitch. Well at least that's my excuse for this display.

This Matt green looks a decent little player. Peterborough have been known to sign a few non-league players in recent years, will be surprised if somebody like that doesn't come in with a bid for the lad. Man of the match by a country mile.

Jones has been very good. It's clear that when Gerrard is not on the field Suarez thinks that he should create the chances himself; it's the midfielders' role! Sturridge should have played more I think.

Pros: Half-strength side, shitty pitch, debutant getting used to our system, got 2 goals away from home.

Cons: None-league side opposition, they had a right go at us, made us panic, got a goal and made some things look easy.
