Young, old or in-between, It doesn't matter.  What matters are the are the right player and they perform and going back a few seasons now, the club, as a whole has largely failed in this matter, based on the performance of the signings.

I'd say fat boy is the most unrealistic option. There is absolutely no way he will come to us, Utd is the only English club he'll go to or he'll go get one last pay check in the states.

I think its more than that.

I think he, like most of us, sees the benefit it signing one or two players with experience who are ready to help us be successful now and not just young players for the future.

Luis backs the skipper "youngsters win you matches, experienced players, Men, win you championships". Actually, i feel the same way as both of them. Unless the ocassional prodigy, youngsters should be inserted slowly into the starting XI.
