Apparently there's "a point of view" that Spurs are holding out until as late as possible to conclude the Bale deal. This so that it will screw Arsenal in getting any deals done with R Madrid.

Surely this will aid LFC on a few fronts:

1st and most importantly it will stop R Madrid from attempting any last minute deals for our Luis

2nd Arsenal won't be able to get any decent players in

3rd Spurs will be a team in major transition

4th maybe achievable for us after all!

If we sell Luis Suarez on deadline day then we're pathetic.

We shouldn't sell for any price. They've had all summer to bid, they're being cu*ts by doing it on deadline day, we'll be cu*ts and won't pick up their phone calls.

A month ago if they were going for him I'd understand selling, we cannot sell now. We simply cannot. Not enough time.

      I reckon it's bullshit myself.

As said before, at this stage it won't happen unless we get a couple of their players in exchange, it's too late.

And the owners won't let him go now because they don't want to look weak to other clubs.

       Agree 100%
linked to this(according to some so called  twtter jounos) are that RM agreed to sell Ozil to arsenal for 50 M

we will be stupid to let go now unless its a swap+cash deal, and when saying swap means Morata/benzema/ etc etc,

Everyone predicted it, easiest wind up possible so I'm treating it with total disregard at the moment.

I would take Ronaldo as a swap though, he's pretty pacey, top left player with goals :)

Liverpool haven't had any contact from Real Madrid for Suarez & at this stage they aren't expecting any (and wouldn't welcome any) either.

He should be saying to himself, 3 out of 3, Top Of The League, I'm going to honour my contract and see what I can add to this Team and try to help US win what we have been craving for so long. Next year I'll be in the Champions League. I can wait a year!!!

Hope you are right, have just seen that Madrid are lining up a £45 million bid  >:( really hope that we don't accept it if it's true

£45 million and Ronaldo could sweeten it though ;) (because that would ever happen  :D )

Him being at the game yesterday had me convinced he was staying now, he'd have been discussing personal terms you'd think if there was any chance of a transfer + we wouldn't have had him turn out vs Port Vale I think. Hope I'm right.

Arsenal are getting only 2, Ozil and di Maria from Real, £65m is the quoted figure, that brings down Real's spending to around £25mil. But Benzema moving doesnt seem like happening. Arsenal's striker targets are apparently Demba Ba on loan or Palermo's Abel Hernandez, latter more likely.

We have Suarez for one more year like Stevie said, its upto us AND him to get us into that CL spot

Dude they have spent ONLY on Bale so far, £85million. Whatever money they lashed out for Illara, Isco et all were regained from the sales of Higuain, Albiol, Callejon and a couple more.

So, if they receive a combined £60m from Ozil and di Maria, you can then do the math

Simply not happening. If Sky are sourcing from a source that isn't there own source then they are getting desperate. Suarez is heading off to Peru today for Uruguay's world cup qualifier. No reputable source is even suggesting anything is likely and the only sources I have seen suggest such happenings are newspapers riddled with advertisers looking for a boost in readership internet or otherwise.

Have to say it's fantastic and remarkable that Liverpool have kept hold of him this summer. Glad to see the back of it and great work done by Rodgers and the club in standing firm over the issue. One in the eye for greedy player power that and is a warning to any other player out there - you come here, you abide by the contract and our terms and valuation of you.

From the Guardian transfer clock, apparently Sid Lowe says

"If departures fall into place (Ozil, Kaka), Madrid will try again for Luis Suarez. Liverpool have so far been unequivocal that he is not going, though.

      David Ornstein, BBC Sport
      OZIL TO ARSENAL
"Arsenal have agreed a 50m euros deal with Real Madrid to sign Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil.

"The 24-year-old has agreed personal terms and will now undergo a medical.

"The medical will take place in Germany, where Ozil is on international duty."

      Now I am worried....

      Don't be.

We won't sell Suarez. The club isn't stupid enough to do it with 11 hours to go.
