Can't be Cruise as the kids are smaller than him.

The other guy is the spit of Aurelio like, not him though.

Would love Carra to stay - however there were calls about him being too old already at the start of the season and after any mistske by a lot of fans...

My worry is that we are not 'blooding' anyone into this position - or getting the benefit of this players experiance. If we were going to have a young player coming through then give him some game time, alongside him to learn or with Agger... Im not talking 90 mins, but at least 30 each game. This sais to me either he is going to stay, or we will be replacing him with a seasoned player - or that we have no idea what we are doing.

After this season I hope he gets a place at the club, would love it if he was our next gaffa...

Played with so much passion if the others played with half we would not have been put through that drab sh*t in the first half and could have battered Chelsea.

Carragher was immense yesterday. Just a top, top performance from the old man. He helped set-up the first goal, and he's really been getting himself more involved in the attack lately. It's going to be hard to see him retire given his current form.

He was so fierce yesterday, not seen him that vocal about it for a while!

Got to try and keep him on for another season for me.

Didn't even look that far ahead to be honest. Good idea, play him up front by himself and he'll score a hat-trick.

That's the idea, just wandered if they might play against some of the reds or just line them up in the kit. If they can't get a team of Carraghers via surname I think they should just do JC looky-likey's, there must be some on here

Definite 'end of era', Anfield without JC will feel very strange. Like the yanks say "Four more years, four more years"

When he played poorly for a while, he got dropped, he then earned his place back in the team.  Like any player on our books should. 

I still think he will reverse his decision. I am not doubting that he is a person who is strong minded but I think Brendan will convince him to stay on, more out of desperation than anything. It will kill Carra not to play any longer when the team could do with him.

I really hope so. The best squads in the world make the most of their senior players, especially ones with deep roots in the club. They are invaluable as they tend not to mind so much with limited game time, look at how well they managed that at United, it's not all about under 25's
