If it's not going to be in brisbane and I don't there is any chance it will be I hope it's melbourne love that place and like their sports culture a lot more. Not to mention more friends couches to sleep on than sydney.

I got a spare couple couches mate. You'll be right.

Normally i'd say F**k Melbourne, Sydney should have it for sure but i want an excuse to go down to Melbourne for a mini holiday instead of a train trip in to the city to watch.

Either way, now is not the time to be petty. Just be happy they're coming!

Just got the news also! So bloody happy  :aaliverpool2xt1:

I do a bit of part time security and was told that our company is most likely going to be looking after the Reds training, which will probably be at AAMI Park.

Told my manager that I'd work for free just to look after them!

If I don't get it, I'll burn Head Office down!

      I jest............I'll only break some windows  :)

I've just been told by my housemate, that his Dad's best mate is the promoter who's bringing the Reds down.

Not sure how accurate this is, but he says, Steven Gerrard is definitely coming, but not Luis Suarez! He's not able to commit to the trip.

      That's devastating  :f_steam:

Would have loved to have seen the little master. I just hope the news turns out to be inaccurate.

Tours like this do my head in.

We should be putting the hard yards in at melwood...twice a day...in preperation for the new season and working on our crap defence for a start....not wasting our time travelling and visiting local schools and making appearances at megastores etc.

Then we will be complaining about tiredness and 'silly international friendlys' in the middle of nowhere within the first month of the season

      Stupid.

Not sure about that, there's a dvd message from Luis on the Offal, to our Thai fans about seeing them in July.  I've not watched the dvd but the headline is "See you in Thailand".

Can't see him going to Thailand for the match on 28th July but not traveling to Oz.

It takes place from 15-30th of June and assuming he gets a couple weeks rest that leaves the latter part of July for him to return. So those dates look possible for him.

Uruguay play the Confederations Cup that time of June, so Suarez won't be there. Spain are in it too, so Reina probably also isn't there in Australia. And I guess maybe Lucas or Coutinho could also be called up.

      edit:

I should read the thread more properly, you already mentioned the confed cup.

Our Lucas wasn't in the last Brazil squad.
      Neither was Coutinho.

Very nice of you crouch...very classy....g'day yo you as well.

For the record i do not see how a trip to australia and the far east helps our preperations for the new season.

Maybe im just old fashioned. Im sure the money must be good.

Those two, Gerrard and Luis would be great to see. 3/4 won't be bad even though Suarez being here would be out of this world.

Giddy with excitement already. Can't wait. Hopefully i can be there from when they land to when they leave.

They'll be training at the same intensity regardless. Whats your point?
