So the Manager and ownership just vehemently rejected a 90m offer for you. If that isn't a confidence booster, I don't know what is.

Go ahead and have your best season here Phil.

Phil Neville has actually just said Coutinho isn't a top top class player and we would have a better chance of winning the league without him.

Yeah but didn't he also say "this is happening isn't it" with regards the transfer. Yeah Barca are going to pay £100m for a player that isn't 'top, top, class'. Coutinho is inconsistent, I think that's the biggest downside you could fairly aim at him, on his day he's clearly world class and his consistency has been improving steadily.

Phil Neville is a F***ing idiot.

Was funny too when he tried listing things off with numbers and it went 1,1,1,2,4 :lmao:

As much as it pains me to say it, I'd probably agree with the first bit of what he says.

Not quite absolute world class like Suarez was before he left. Signs are there that this will be the season he makes that that step up though - after the way he finished last season.

When Xabi alonso wanted to move abroad a Summer trying to get G Barry, his last following season was Xabi's best season. Let's hope Phil will have a brilliant too.

      HE ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!!!
      (for now)

      Official Club Statement:
"We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho.

The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes."

      Impressive from FSG.

Now let's make sure he stays beyond this season by surrounding him with real talent, not Milner and Henderson and Can etc.

Not really our circus is it?

Sky making sh*t up again, forcing the club to respond, which keeps the story going for them, and generates more ad revenue through clicks.

until he comes out and says he has not put in a transfer re-guest, he wants out

the way the game has gone is so painful and Liverpool will always loose its top players, until we get shot of these yanks and a multi-billionaire comes in

Klopp has said he dose not want him sold but if we sell him i can see Klopp walking away from the the club

Bbc reporting it as fact too that hes handed in a request via email.

To be honest, he probably has. Who can blame him when Barca can challenge on all fronts and we're struggling once again to land our targets.

Like I said already though, VVD and Naby Keita wanted to leave their respective clubs but their clubs have stood firm and we have got neither.

Phil can do everything in his power to kick up a fuss if he is so inclined to do so (don't think he will like) but we can and should hold firm. We are not in any sort of position to be losing our best player this close to the end of the transfer window. Barca and Phil will have to wait for a year. He signed his contract so for now at least, he will have to honour it.

He can request all he wants, shouldn't have signed a 5 year deal if he wasn't in it for the next 5 years.

Yep, specially since he didn't negotiate to include a release clause in it.
