My point remains: we won today, but we didn't play well, and we need to sort it out.

Better to win playing badly than to not win at all. If we win all our remaining games playing like that then I won't be complaining, especially if it gets us top 4.

The thing that worried me most was the amount of times the ball bounced of Jones. I hope BR is looking for a decent understudy to Pepe because Jones is a liability whenever he plays.

In just 3 games for #LFC, Philippe Coutinho has
already made more assists in the PL than Gareth
Bale has in 24 games this season. (Via @BBCSport)

A lot of focus on Bale and his 'cheating'. Must say that I commend Rodgers on focusing the diving and cheating away from Suarez to Bale. The man knows how to pick his fights. He stays away from petty manager rifts but will stick it to the press when need be.

Also, Spurs deserve the plaudits for this season, unlike the last few years with the overrated Harry Redknapp. The two managers at Liverpool and Spurs show the way that English football must head, and leave the likes of Allardyce and Pulis wallowing in their own sh*t.

I'm a little surprised to be honest at many of the "we wuz licky" reviews of the match. We scored by far the best goal of the game and played some excellent stuff in parts. So did they, they're a good team, but in a match which ebbed and flowed I thought we held our own well. It was perfectly poised at 2-2, ither team could have won it, but in the end it was us and there was no miscarraige of justice IMHO. Gerrard was my MOM, simply because he was the best player on view in either team by a country mile.

Too bloody right. It was good to see two teams wanting to win a match at Anfield rather than your Pulis's and Allardyce's coming to play their brand of football to merely 'not lose'. And what do they get out of it every season? Mid table mediocrity at best.

Agree, perhaps below average would describe the 2nd half

We have played some great football at times this season and got nothing or a point, to be so poor in the 2nd half today and get 3 points against a side flying will do me.

Thought the boss was right to take Coutinho off he'd gone out of the game and his last 3 touches before he came off all gave the ball away.

Were on a bit of a roll now which might be just the right time in regards to the push for 4th

Exactly, and until we can win games like these more often we will struggle to challenge the leaders. We can't be at our best all the time, but we have to find a way to win. We did that today and that is an important step in my opinion.

Trying not to get too carried away from today's result. I disagree with some who say we were average. I don't think we played brilliantly but I think to describe the performance as 'average' doesn't give the team enough credit.

As great a result as it was, certain amount of luck played a role in the victory. What was great was that we took advantage of it.

Ahead of the Blues and pushing on. Got to take advantage of this win.

F***ing made up with this best result of the whole season.

I told the lads by me there was a long way to go after they took the lead
And so it proved they were lucky to be in front it wasn't even a free kick.

We deserved to win i honestly can't remember the last time we beat spurs
      but it was ages back.

Well done Brendan Rogers this was a huge huge result for you my son

Onwards & upwards we've just won the hardest game of our run in from being 2-1 down

      Happy Days

It's amazing what a football result can do to your weekend, I feel amazing right now.

Top players today were Gerrard, Suarez, Downing and Coutinho (faded bad, but understandable)

I thought Gerrard was excellent today, so much quality and what a cool penalty.

Lucas, Sturridge, Johnson, Enrique had days to forget, my word, who was Lucas passing at and Sturridge was all over the place. Not worried though, that happens and I'm sure they'll put it right.

      ABSOLUTELY AMAZING RESULT LADS!!!!!

Finished for the day. Thought it was a better result than performance from #LFC today, but they showed excellent character/attitude.
