What a awful half of football from the boys. Very lucky to be still in the game.

Shaw and Lallana are killing us every time they attack down our right, the ball must be red hot as Jones seems incapable of holding on to it, that said he wasn't at fault for both goals. It's not good as a defender having a nervy keeper behind you and with Jones behind them that's exactly what we've got I'm afraid.

Skrtel's continuous rashness in his challenges mean we are always having to defend dangerous free kicks as as we all know it's a big weakness of ours.

Don't even want to comment on the decision to play Allen over Lucas, if that change isn't made at half time there's some serious questions need asking.

Massive plus is we got back in the game late on, we've look a lot bigger threat in the second half of the first 45. There's definitely more goals in the game, the problem is I'd say there as likely at our end as there's can see a 4-3 ft score just got everything crossed we're the one's getting 4!!!!

COME ON BOYS, you can't play a half as bad as that lets get in there faces press high and attack there shaky defence.

      MUST WIN GAME!!

Completely disagree with the "Lucas would have struggled just as much" part.

He would still have struggled. He's not quite as quick or mobile as he was before the injury. He might have fared better than Allen but bottom line is we need another body in there. Gerrard always gets off scott free when we struggle defensively. I'm not saying Allen is playing well but I hate the scapegoating that goes on in the match thread from so called fans who think they simply have to pick out one player and stick the boot in.

We're making a bad team look good and that's the story of our season so far .

Got to give them some credit they've been very good. Lucas for Allen now confirmed so will help.

Shouldn't have been in Allen - way off the pace. Gaping hole in midfield now filled.

It's an ok sub for me. Obviously Lucas is an upgrade on Allen but he will have to be on top form to control the midfield with Gerrard on their own.

We don't have any control in midefield BECAUSE it's a 2 man midfield. IT ISN'T JUST BECAUSE IT'S ALLEN THERE. Watch the game you people. Lucas would have struggled just as much. We're getting over run in there, haven't dealt with their pressing or with the number of runners they have been sending. Funnily, we got better in the last 7-8 mins BECAUSE Rodgers switched Suarez with Coutinho which means we have got a bit more workrate and an EXTRA body in midfield.

We never should have started with a 2 man midfield. We did that against Spurs last weekend and had to change it and the same will happen today. We should have played Lucas AND Allen (or my preference would have been for Henderson)

i am watching and you need to relax.  it isnt truly just a 2 player midfield btw... cou, downing and suarez are playing behind sturridge and gerrard and allen is playing above the defense... that whole spot is the middle.  You need to understand BR's system more because his style is small passes from back to final third.. but when a link is faulty.. we get this... we get long balls that is not our style

lucas or hendo may or may not be able to do any better... i find it funny how you seem to know they wont... but they cant be anyworse.  if you actually watch the game yourself you would realize allen's touches and passing today are horrid.  that is allen's problem and not the formation.

Is it possible, that BR had a kid with someone when he was in High school and they decided to give him up for adoption to the Allen family ? Just saying...

Normal circumstances yes, but Allen has just played the worst half I can remember from an LFC player and was obviously not fully fit whilst Lucas, who hasn't been amazing, but has been doing okay, was dropped.

Its a talking point isn't it?

Sturridge is having a 'mare too. Was eclipsed by Allen's first half, but he is.
