Very little excuse for it PD, everyone can make the odd mistake but when it's consistently spelt wrong I actually look at it as a lack of respect. I know if someone continually got my surname wrong, after being corrected, I would be offended.

Some people were still calling Kuyt  "kite" when he left!  It's going to take a while before Can gets his name pronounced properly, perhaps we should all call him Jackie as a reminder.

I'm not sure how the BBC's headline works, as what is there to examine, and why is the word assault in quotation marks?

The player was assaulted pure and simple, it wasn't as if he tripped, ran 18 yards and accidental knocked into the player.

I like when people type his name as "Skittles"  Not so much for it being a nickname, but for covering up the fact they don't know how to spell his name.

One of the others that used to be a pet peeve of mine would be "Charlie Adams".

When commentators keep calling a player the wrong name. I'm watching the Hull vs Newcastle game and Michael Owen keeps calling Andrew Robertson "Andy Robinson". Is it really that hard?!
