It is with great sadness to learn that Anne Williams has lost her battle with cancer
Anne campaigned on behalf of the victims and families affected by Hillsbourough and indeed lost her own son Kevin.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Anne for her commitment and determination to find justice for the 96.

When you consider the woman attended the memorial service at Anfield on Monday you are filled with total admiration and respect for the courage and selflessness of this shining light of the Hillsborough campaign, she knew the fight was all but won.

A true working class heroine who took on the system and didn't back down until she got what she fought for, The Truth!

So fitting of her determination that she hung on in there to be at the first Hillsborough Memorial since The Truth came out.

May her determination to battle for what was right no matter what adversary stood in her way be inspiration to every single one of us.

May God be with you Anne Williams and may you rest in peace - the legacy you have left will live forever in eternity.

So, so sad that Anne won't be around to finally see justice done but hopefully she'll be with Kevin again after 24 long years.

Such a massive inspiration for anyone facing an uphill battle, never wavered, never gave up, never took any s**t, just total focus on getting the truth.

You'll Never Walk Alone and will always be remembered along with the 96.

A truly brave, courageous role-model. One of this world's few genuine heroes.

Just heard this on the radio. I am so glad she made it to the memorial service earlier this week, she looked so frail and ill, it was obvious she was gravely ill.
A very courageous lady who fought tooth and nail for her son and all the other victims. So glad she at least saw the inquest verdicts overturned, just sad she won't  see the new verdicts.
Reunited with her beloved son Kevin, Rest in Peace Anne, a true inspiration.

Can't really add to this, I hope she's back with Kevin now.

Of all the tragedies of that day this one probably affected me the most and deepest sympathies to all her family and friends, she was an incredible woman.
