      Pep's ruined Bayern.

Ancelotti on the other hand is doing great things with this Madrid side.

Picture Crystal Palace on steroids playing against Swansea. That is what is happening.

:D While I agree last year's Bayern was more exciting to watch (and it's safe to say they're not going to win another UCL with this score at half time), there's so much overreaction about how supposedly "bad" Pep has turned Bayern!

I wish Liverpool would be "ruined" like that - fastest German champions in Bundesliga history and UCL semifinalists. What a ruin.

Ruin oversells it but they're certainly a step down on last year. Possession means too much to them, penetration isn't high enough on their list of priorities. Have Madrid at some tasty scores tonight as I expected their tactics to work again as they almost did in the first leg. Granted they won 1-0 but it should have been a few more and with Ronaldo back fit tonight I thought this could be on the cards.

Watching them in the CL this season has not nearly been as exciting as last year, the press isn't there and the pace at which they attack is pedestrian until when it gets to Robben.

Think they've been fortunate that Dortmund have been ravaged through injuries so the league was a cake walk for them but the place to judge them will always be the CL and I was expecting much much better.

Absolutely, but then again he's only been there for one season and it's not like if they have been playing badly. They've had many spectacular results this season, and even if they've not impressed in the UCL, they're semifinalists for a reason.

What a goal that would of been by Gotze.

One of the very few chances they've actually created. This Madrid side look unbreakable tonight.

YNWA is playing at the Allianz?

      Why?

Seen quite a few German teams play it this season, now.

Wow totally surprising scoreline that. Pep needs to rethink his tactics for next year, almost beaten by Arse, the sh*te Mancs and hammered by Real.

So yes not really a disaster  :D

A few observations form the Bayern Match:

It is easier to get 500 million worth of talent to defend and then break; if you have 3 of the fastest players on the planet. I don't give much credit to Ancelotti for that.

It isn't as easy to get the same amount of talent to play like Barcelona in 2009; because they are not Barcelona in 2009.
Rafa said the same when asked about the Barcelona philosophy. He said you can play like that when you have players of that calibre trained form their early teens. Bayern will get better at it next year. Especially with Lewandovski but they will never be like Barca were and will struggle against deep teams who have as much to spend as they do.

Ronaldo is the biggest clown on the planet. He was signalling his 15 goals .. what an utter tool.

Pepe and Ramos please stop being utter c*nts. Bad luck Xabi still one of my favourite footballers.

If and its a big if , Atletico snatch La Decima from Madrid I thing I will die laughing.

Oh please. Because of the boring, ineffective way Bayern play, they force other teams to defend. Madrid did not setup to defend, it's just how it goes when you play ultra-possession teams like Barca, Bayern et al.

Real have immense attacking talent, great link-up play, a good team-ethic and a great manager.

I said that below mate. I said , in a round about way, that Guardiola was blessed with Barca created as a one off and that he won't be able to get Bayen to do that.

Madrid did set up to defend. That is how they play they didn't pass the ball to each other except to get it forward in 3 touches to goal. That isn't brilliant football. It is simple, straight forward football that a lot of managers do. The only difference is Madrid have Ronaldo, Bale and  De Maria up front with Alonso supplying them. Hardly genius is it?

Difference is Pep's side of years past would have found a way through the massed ranks. This Bayern unfortunately do not have a Xabi or Messi for their individual brilliance.

For me it is a shame for club whit such a players to not have one serious chance in two games. I don't like Pep's way of playing and his ball torturing. He had luck that he had in his career Clubs like Barcelona and Bayern whit world class players. Would like to see him in one mid table club. There is where quality of manager shows.

I agree, its hard to tell a good manager when they have everything to win laid in front of them.

torn apart over two games and tiki taka football's death knell. its about power pace and taking your chances when they come. Not to score in 2 legs its a bit telling isn't it.
