Quite liked how he 'grew balls' and chopped feds off at the same time. :D

Good start with that safe, and straight back to the game telling people who to mark and being focused.

Made a bad start to the game - fluffed at that corner.  He's probably so used to seeing so much of the ball at Sunderland that it's going to require some mental adaptation to get used to concentrating (without being involved).

BUT you can't argue with that save at the end.

Before the goal, a graphic came up showing that Walters had put the vast majority of his pens there - so in hindsight it just shows how much the club/player do their homework on this kind of thing.  Still - even after saving the pen he did very well to stop the rebound from Jones.

Penalty saves are not going to define his LFC career - coming and collecting crosses from corners and freekicks will.

Spot on with that graphic mate, saw that too and was yelling at Simon, he's going bottom left corner and true to his previous attempts, that's exactly where he went. Someone's been doing their homework!

If he carries on with clean sheets and can react like he did with that penalty and rebound he will do for me.Pepe Reina would of been proud of him.

I don't think we should have a song for him.

The Kop should just shout out ridiculous statements such as

Some say his Father was a waffle, his Mother was a bar of Lindt.

Some say he isn't really tall but he has the powers of those crazy fair mirrors.

All we know is, he's called The Mig.  :D

For those doubting a few of us in saying this chap was an improvement need to start appreciating our new keeper, we seriously would have drawn our first 2 games if reina was in goal. We have upgraded well

It's a bit early for me to be making a comparison but so far so good with Mignolet.

Not really. His shot stopping ability is immense. Already got us 4 points. Distribution is still an issue though.

Just feel a whole lot secure when he is marshaling or goal than I did with Reina over the past two seasons.

It's not only about foot work is it? Reina is blessed with his tendency to get right decisions when rushing out, he is probably the quickest goalkeeper I've seen going off his line to clear a ball and his distribution is first class. Mignolet beats him in the shot stopping department though

I don't know If it's your love for Reina that is blinding you to see a monster GK we have at our club?

Brendan said last week that a top GK will earn you an extra 10 points a season. Again today Mignolet saved us 2 points. That save from Benteke was world class. One handed, struck with power, no disrespect to Pepe but he wouldn't have saved that last season. When Benteke was played in I said to my mate 'F**k this is a goal' and then Mignolet pulled off that wonderful save. Focused, great reactions, and reliable. Lesser keeper would have let one of those Benteke goals sneak past him but Mignolet rose to the occasion and make two big saves.
