The price quoted of 23m euro is pretty heft if you ask me! Hope he's a commanding defender who'll be a rock at the back. It's something we really need!

Carragher was vici caption but did not garantie him a place so Agger can be dropped.

I cant agree with this....I think Kelly was very solid playing out of position at right back. He got that terrible injury last season which has held him back but I think he is a natural as a CB an what Im hoping is that he gets a good run in that position in the reserves and challenges for the first team this year. He has hardly ever been given an opportunity at his best position. I think when and if that happens he should be judged.  He is in his early twenties and not yet at the peak of his career.
