Surely a price would have been agreed before Ayre flew out to finalise the deal?

You made the crucial error of supposing Ian Ayre works in a logical way there Rodders.

You would imagine so Rodders but nothing surprises me anymore.

If this story is true then how have we got the valuation so wrong?

I'm all for going in low but almost a third of what a club is looking is never going to lead to a transfer happening.

It seems that even signing a nobody like this lad is a big task for Ian Ayres.  It will take him a week or so to get his 'A game' in action and actually strike a deal.

Does Rodgers want the player? Yes, apparently so. Then F***ing sign him Ayres and stop pissing around like we're Wigan.

      Amateurish, amateurish, amateurish.

To add affordable yet experienced cover to a position that we only have one recognized senior player for ;)

Oh I see: "affordable". I get you now.

I'm not sure about "cover" tho' Harry: I was under the assumption that any players we signed, after 11 July, were to be first choice, team improvers. I know too that our "Transfer Committee" had provided a list(s) of players who may be available and who we could afford.

To that extent I, honestly, believed that we would be looking at a player's ability before anything else. The lad is either good enough to play for Liverpool or he's not so... When you pointed out that he was 27, has never had a stand-out season and plays for a small club; you can understand why I raised the question.

To be fair; I doubt the accuracy of that report mate so it's probably a moot point (regarding Siqueira anyhow).

If he didn't, then I'm fairly sure incompetence is a valid reason for dismissal and it should be bye bye Mr Ayre.  ;)

I agree with you and 'berry that Ayres 'n' Co should have had a fair idea about his cost... I wonder what the Spanish is for "What are they smoking at Anfield"?   8)

Here's an article just linked on LFC transfer specs and it's got a nice video of the MotM performance from Sequeira in it, enjoy.

Is this lad coming or What!!!, I mean i have no clue what happend in transfer deals but it shouldtn take this long surely.
Get on the phone to club, "we want you player  how much?  club say make offer, we do the club come back with their offer and we meet in the middle. unless its a top star which i'm guessing this lads not, we walk away. if we really want him that bad we offer them our final price they say yes/no, medical booked boom! deal done

why do we take a few days to come back with improved offer surely we have a max price we are willing to pay in our head and if its over that we move onto the next one

According to Tony Barrett, we couldn't agree a fee with his club so we havr taken up thr option of Cissokho

Understandable if Granada pumped up the price as suggested and if Siqueira started dreaming RM white shirt.

       :lmao:

Tis funny the amount of people that say this in various topics.

The transfer window is still open, he hasn't said he isn't joining us, nor has his club and nor have we. REPORTS say we have been unable to agree a fee, still got until the end of the month for that to change so unless we hear otherwise from Granada, the player or us that he wont be joining, the topic will remain open.

Fair enough just thought we'd agreed a deal for this Cissokho geezer.

Well there's the slim chance we could get Cissokho and Sequeira then let Enrique go, highly doubtful but..

he seems better then back up and at 27 he would be thinking the same I'm sure. has a spot in a Spanish side and seems quality so I could understand Granada holding out for a bigger fee, he is probably one of their better players.. however according to his stats he has only been deployed on the wing twice (like Enrique I think) so he isn't as much of as attacking option as I thought, possibly a better LWB than Enrique.

wiki already has us agreeing a deal (four days ago) worth 12mil and even goes as far to say he's been given shirt #17!! :P
