Not the best half of football we're going to play this season, thats for sure.

Gone a bit quiet now hasn't it.  Maybe the 2nd half players are confident of their starting spot 

Unlucky Borini.

Good interplay between Sterling and Borini. Raheem slips Borini in, but he can't quite get the ball over the keeper, who makes another fantastic sprawling save at the strikers feet.

Borini needs a rabbits foot or a shamrock...unlucky again.

Really unlucky boys. Perhaps Borini should do better.

Toure with a ball forward, beautiful control from Coutinho, who dribbles forward then finds Sterling (not sure about Sterling's positioning but at least he's in there). Sterling lays it off to Borini who hits the bar.

Very unlucky again, nice drop off into the space, almost unnatural for a striker to drop off back outside the box, he's been incredibly unlucky this half.

Q: What rule change would you most like to see?
A: Hitting the woodwork to count as a goal. Liverpool might win the league

Me too, but it would be ironic to hear the excuse of those who wouldn't give the same benefits to others, but that's way off topic

As you've been saying Luke, better to be having plenty of shots but not scoring than not create any chances.

Coutinho is SICK.....he is soo good on the ball. Sterling needs to watch how Coutinho works his defender and take notes.

Kelly looking like that rusty nail again. Not too long until the start of the season, would like to see him given longer against Celtic to get that match fitness up.

Clearly working on Mignolet's distribution and it's been wanting so far this half.

Gerrard on the edge, fires it into Coutinho who knows EXACTLY what Stevie wants, and just cushions it for him. Gerrard hits it well enough but it just rises over the crossbar.

Can't emphasise how impressive Coutinho's speed of thought and execution is.

Yep I'd agree with that Bri.  Would send a deaf person to sleep (no offense intended to deaf people).

Zizinho of the '50 world cup Brazilian team must have played like Coutinho. The through balls are amazing (Of course, it is still not perfect...)
