We don't need a right winger. Pennants performance last night shows just what he is capable of and he isn't even fully match fit yet, he just needs a run of games. We need an out and out left winger we have kewell and thats it in terms of left wingers. and we need a new striker and to get rid of two and push babel upfront. Then a LB good at going forward and sitting back.

Hehe yh i like them boot. Ronaldo has them too they are made of carbon fibre so they are lighter and easier to run in. Great to see pennant perform so well on only his second game back, even though it was only luton was great to see him swinging in those great crosses again and this kind of performance was perfect for him having just come back from injury.

Speaking of transfer targets, I have just read some speculation on Vital Tottenham that is strong linking DARREN BENT to us.  It doesn't seem to have much credibility but I don't think Darren Bent is the world class striker that would compliment Torres... Especially at 12Million as it suggests..... Mind you the article also suggests that Rafa has the backing of the board now........ I would rather secure Masch than buy Bent!!!!

Once a striker moves on, that is when i think we will be buying a striker, not now. LM and Masch would be very good business.

How about Roy Makaay from Feyenoord? He's played 443 games for 227 goals, that's 1 nearly every 2 games. Maybe he's gettin on a bit but surely we could get another 2-3 years out of him. He's a proven goalscorer in the Dutch league and he already has 11 this season.

I know it's the Dutch league and we would probably have doubts over whether he can cut it in the premiership, but I'd love to give him a go up alongside Torres.

Another player, I'd love to see us look at, and I've mentioned it before, is Ibrahim Afellay....He's supposed to be the next Christiano Ronaldo without the diving and cheating. He plays for PSV, is 21 years and is a right sided midfielder but can also play centre if need be. He won the Dutch football talent of the year 2007.

I've seen him a few times when I've watched the Dutch league and he has a go, not afraid to take on his man down the right side and loves to put in a wicked cross. Rafa get your scouts out to watch him as well and let us know what you think.
