      You naughty, naughty boys.

Photoshop very good - although I quite like Fireworks (also now owned by Adobe).

An alternative you could try is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program - Not the leather guy out of Pulp Fiction).
Completely freeware, updated regularly and with all the same stuff as Photoshop (plus more in some cases eg. watermarks can be added without paying extra)

      rofl!
My copy of photoshop threw a wobbler when I streamlined my PC and stopped using a page file, so I hunted for an alternative. I'd been using a few benchmarking programs and one of them used GIMP to manipulate some artwork. I just noticed it was using nothing different to photoshop and getting results that were indistinguishable so had a quick google for it.

JD - The icon for the program is a dogs head, but I was debating changing it to a black leather mask... just to see if anyone noticed it ;)

Sorry mate, I just couldn't resist quoting that.  :D

So would you say from using it that it's just as good as Photoshop?

Yeah, it's easily as good as. The only problems I've had with it is getting used to the floating tool windows and the open file selection screen (but those are just subjective). Other than that it does everything Photoshop does just as well (a little better imho).

If it's like the one that someone I know got the crack file probably has a virus.

However he tells me that he used this crack/patch and that it's virus free.

      http://www.ziddu.com/download/6070272/AdobeActivationAllProductCS4.rar.html

PS. He also tells me that someone who owns such a copy should not be connected to the net when using it, just to be safe.

       ;)

I was wondering if any photoshop wizzes could do me a favour.

We're making a flag for our rugby team and we'd like to have this image:

into the style of the 'Success has many fathers' / Rafa flag / my avatar :

Sorry my image is no bigger, that's the only size available.

I'd like it so there is still definition of the nose and other facial features and an outline of the body etc. like our LFC flags.

Thanks to anyone who can help :)

      Got another issue guys!

We're now trying to create a few t-shirts on spreadshirt.co.uk but I've been told it's best to use Adobe Illustrator rather than Macromedia Fireworks (usual editing programme I use) but I'm having a few issues.

      - I doing an image like I was talking about at the top of the page, and need to 'cut out' inbetween the black shadows and lines of the image.

      - Spreadshirt says the image is either too big in file size (MB) or pixel size even though my image is fine ???

Any help would be appreciated... again!

Had a crack but the image fidelity is too low. Your best bet is to print it out over 6 a4 sheets then outline with markers the main features for your stencil.
