I just can't get myself interested in Arsenal signing Ozil.

At the end of the day, they tried all their targets and failed. Then they picked him up late. He's clearly not the signing they were looking for or needed. They didn't get the Striker they wanted, and all in all, they lost out.

Ozil may grab headlines, but Arsenal are quite beatable. Is he going to score all the goals they need? Doubt it.

Ozil isn't exactly what Arsenal needed the most this window, in terms of positions - more pressing concerns were GK, CB, DM and so on - but he's just too good for them to miss the opportunity. Would improve any team in the EPL.

Feel exactly the same. He'll get assists but they needed a properly good 'keeper, a quality defender, CDM, winger/striker and instead they got one world-class attacking midfielder. He will inevitably get moved/move Cazorla to the wing where his quality will effectively be halved.

Wonderful individual signing to boost moral and performance, but definitely a shield to cover up the lack of other incomings.

Pretty successful window I would say. Obviously disappointed not to get a massive, attacking 'marquee signing' but I'm not sure we can expect that without European football under our belts.

I just tweeted a number of caps lock-filled tweets about United's lack of signings which I'm going to have to delete if they've signed Fellaini.
